Time trouble is starting to play his role Anand played 31...Bg4?! instead of 31...Bf5! which should win. Now Kramnik are able to escape, especially taking into account Anand`s time trouble.
It ould be a nice thing for chess to see a win as black in a WCh match π
STOP the draws!!!

33.Bd3?? was real blunder. Why not 33.Kb3 with draw?
But Anand did not take on d3 - but also after 33...Bh3 Black should win.
Originally posted by vipiuMain reason of mistakes was time trouble. I hope that now you do understand why Anand accepted draw in 2nd game.
nice game, Anand still has a win...very tactical, they are making mistakes all the time...not used with wild position...it seems they play perfect only in the typical positions that they have studied a lot...

Originally posted by vipiuIn positions like that, even so much time can be insufficient. It's not like they can't play fast. Anand is the best blitz player in the world. It's just that the position is not just about intuition and moving fast, you need to be accurate and examine it in detail. Anyway, congratulations to Anand!!!
so they should train better on time management...they play first 15 moves from book, they have 2 hours for 25 moves....
Originally posted by exigentskyas far as I know, anand is the best rapid player in the world. the best blitz player is considered to be Ivanchuk (who also has a lot of practice for blitz in long games due to chronical time trouble π). the overall best player is of course Kramnik though π.

I was sorry to see Kramnik lost. And Anand missing Bxd3 really has surprised me. obviously it's not possible to see the mate, but he could easily see he could at least force to take the queen. I think, if one gives me half an hour and tell me there's a forced win, I could've found it, and it makes me proud π.
Does anyone know how much time did he have around that move?
