otherwise he would have to retreat his knight to the awful h6, and it would be difficult to rearrange its position because the two knights tangle each other. this also would allow white to take control (and maybe grab with the kinght) of e5.

instead he chose to force the white knight to capture the pawn(there's no other legal move), forcing it to a bad square and opening up his rook.

anand went for the draw with 2+ minutes on his clock, against Kramnik's 9.

But it was an absolutly dead position and anand is the better blitz player.
The last 3 or so moves they blitzed anyway in less than 10 seconds

it was totally not "absolutely dead". show me a "killing" line please. Kramink did a good job creating counterplay.

Wow, this is a really interesting position! (after 19.Nxd4). It looks like one side or the other must have a winning tactical knockout.

yes yes, I want to reach my home and use the engine for seeking tactical blows...even Anand had deep analyses this position seems very wild for a human brain, unlike the typical ones they've got until now...

After White 22th move Kramnik seems to have dangerous attack.

No, Anand has the initiative - that bishop on b7 is a monster. Anand swapped off a pair of rooks and is now two pawns down. It will be very interesting to see whether Kramnik can defend the attack now and keep his two pawn advantage. Kramnik is the best defensive player in the World, but he won't be happy until those queens are off!

Anand had to give back his extra piece to get his counter initiative and at the moment (after White 24th move) Kramnik has 2 extra pawns. Position seems to be complicated.

Yeah, I'd put money on Anand to win from here. Is 28 ... Bf3 possible?

Edit. Evidently not. 28. ... Bh3 played. All sorts of threats now. Black's rook can go to g1 or g2.
