you asked about my guarantee, and now you're free to show me wrong.

If calling me "little" and "brown-noser" makes you feel better about yourself, go for it. Whatever works for you, man. I don't get off on insulting people like you seem to though.

p.s.
By the way, look up the defintion of brown-noser.

brown-nose = to flatter with the intention of getting something

I don't know wormwood, have never asked him for anything, and don't plan to ask any favors from him. If I need any help in my chess, i read tactics books, books by silman, practice, or whatever. Anyone that isn't full of insults and hate is automatically a brown-noser to you, right? 🙂

I feel sad for you, eldar. You see the world in such a bad light. Not everyone is bad and out to get you, okay? Not everyone who defends someone else is trying to get something from them.

If telling me it makes me feel better about myself, then say it.

By the way, did I ever make a comment to you or did you feel the need to jump in for some reason? What does the Bible say about getting into an argument that doesn't concern you? Try reading Proverbs 26.*

*I figured anyone who is "Christian" enough to make a point of mentioning it in his bio might be "Christian" enough to take what the Bible says seriously.

No Wormwood, I did not ask about your guarantee. I told you that you crossed the line of merely talking about yourself and judging others with your guarantee.

You never answered my question, how long have I been playing chess?

Which aspect of the game should i most emphasis my study on. I feel like my tactics are ok, but my opening play has some weaknesses to it. Would studying some openings be the best way for me to improve at this point? Or what would you recomend to improve my game?
1400-1500 is in the intermediate range in my opinion. 😏

hi wormwood,

I was wondering, has the majority of your tactics practice been on CTS or have you studied with books like Reinfelds 1001 sacs also?
thanks

majority on CTS (111 000 problems and counting), but also a little CT-ART and some other similar sets. but 99% of the training has been on CTS.

I'm planning to study CT-ART or some similar set thoroughly, I'm just doing other things first. can't have everything at once.

you have understood nothing I've said so far, why would it be any different next time? I've gone into details many times before, it's all there.

answering would be waste of time. which is probably exactly what you're after.

The point I was trying to make is that you know nothing about me, but then claim that I'll be exactly the same strength one year from now as I am today.

You know nothing about me, but make remarks about me personally.

As for your comment about being a beginner yourself, do you think you've learned nothing about openings, middle game and end games in your three years of play? Are you as good in those areas today as you were two years ago? Do you learn nothing in your games?

You are in no way a beginner. You may have alot of room to grow in certain areas, but your knowledge of all aspects of the game are much greater than a person who has been playing the game for a few months to a year.

How many years must a person play before the person is no longer a beginner?

it's not about numbers, years nor ratings. it's about covering the basics. I haven't.

I've just looked at a few games. I saw that you defeated a 1200 by resignation, but your games against higher rated opponents have all been won by taking skulls.

By the way, I started playing chess in March of 2007. After 3 months of getting my butt kicked, I took a 9 month break. I came back to chess and have been playing ever since.

yes, I haven't beaten any high rated players. I'm not good enough yet.

when you look at my games you need to check the dates though. the first one is my first game against a human, and it shows. then it's steady progress through the three years.

Steady progress in tactics I take it and absolutely no progress in opening, middle game and end games.
