@sonhouse saidThat is one theory which I don’t describe to since it seems to be founded more upon just so stories than logic and facts. I believe the chemist you have yet to listen to his whole talk covers the chemistry quite well with some strong evidence based objections. Looking forward to your critique when you are done trading insults with Raj.
@KellyJay
We all originate from a single life form billions of years ago.

@KellyJay
Yeah, he is a hard case, totally rejecting the idea humans could have any effect on climate since we are so insignificant in our infinite planet.
And bitching about the US being the biggest greenhouse gas emitter and waster but in fact it is China by far, more than the US and Europe combined and then he used the argument China has a huge population but that falls flat when you see the GH gas runs for China V India, both running 1.4 billion population and India having some half of the US numbers.
It is clear he has one agenda, the total hatred of the US.
@sonhouse said😀 like I said when you are done with your conversation with him and get back to the link let me know.

@KellyJay saidYou've never listened to a single thing I've ever said in these forums.
Hardly, they were created not formed accidentally though a mindless process. To much information directing different materials in different environments in order for chance to play a part.
@Suzianne saidI listen, I answer and you disappear.

Why don't you defend your thinking?
Do you think I should agree with you immediately as soon as you say something?
Why don't you try to make your case for your point of view?

@KellyJay saidI've talked at length in the Spirituality Forum about how I believe in theistic evolution, but you act like you never read any of it. You can't write about what you say I believe without at least scratching that surface.

I've written how the creationists and scientists basically believe the same things, yet they disagree constantly, and how this looks to me like they just like to fight about it. Theistic evolution covers both bases, and for you to describe what I believe as some sort of random "mindlessness" (your catchphrase, I believe) misses my belief, and the entire point, by miles.
@Suzianne saidI not overly concerned with what people believe as much as I am with what it is that they say is true or factual. You may talk at length about what you believe but unless you are responding to me in conversation I am not see it.

Give me your two biggest reasons I can talk about mine, what are yours?
@Suzianne
Is it your belief evolution is real but god designed our universe to allow life to exist, which could happen anywhere the conditions are right? For instance, on the moon Europa, the tidal forces being so close to a supersize planet heats things up inside to the extent that they think liquid water exists and very deep also, and heat plus minerals can make life? So god set it up so life can exist anywhere in the universe where conditions allow?
Obviously a planet with a temperature of 1000 c would not be amenable to life like Venus but maybe early Mars or Europa, besides here on Earth or planets around other stars if they are in the 'goldilocks' zone allowing liquid water if they have any?
@sonhouse saidSure.

Physics, cosmology and evolution are his tools.
I also believe that the major rule in his universe is Free Will. If we knew for a fact that God exists, our choice to follow him or not is not free, it is pushed on us. This being said, cosmology and evolution mainly follow the physics; any nudging or steering has to be done so as to not make God's hand appear obvious.
I read Clarke's 2001, 2010, 2061, 3001 series. I believe it is altogether probable there is life under Europa's ice.
@Suzianne
About Europa, there is a probe on its way to plow through the jets coming off the surface. The James Webb scope found those jets are going above the surface not by 40 or 100 miles up but several thousand miles high which makes it easier to plow through safer. It would would be earth shaking if that probe actually found some kind of cell.
The probe is called Europa Clipper, due to launch in October this year.
Signs of possible live signatures on Mars:

@Suzianne saidIt would be a fantastic discovery, if verified. I hope I live to see the day that exo-life is verified.
