@fmf saidIf you don't want to take it up with me I don't blame you.
What you are taking up with me needs to be taken up with sonship because I obviously don't think atheists are "burning with anger" at sonship's God ~ it's sonship who thinks that. You seem to be too much of a coward to tackle him on it.
If you don't want to take it up with sonship I don't blame you.
But suggesting I'm a coward, well, that's just inflammatory silliness.
@fmf saidThen take it up with the one that made the assertion.
What you are taking up with me needs to be taken up with sonship ..
But it seems you've "taken it up" with the whole community by starting a thread about it, and then when I respond to your OP you back away from the discussion, seemingly as a coward, compounded by your accusation that I am a coward for not taking it up with sonship.
That's just a silly position you've assumed because, frankly, it is my prerogative who I "take it up" with.
@secondson saidThe ridiculous assertion that atheists have a "burning anger" towards God is sonship's position and not mine.

@secondson saidIt is surely you who has been whining. Your first words to me in reply to me pushing back at the ridiculous projection of anger onto non-believers was this: "Clearly that's an insult directed at believers in Jesus Christ, no?". If that isn't feeble whining, nothing is
Then what are you whining about?

@divegeester saidYeah, keep telling yourself that.
Whoosh!! Double whoosh!!
I’m parodying SecondSon venting his hate at me Suzianne, but you are so blinkered you cant see it.
@suzianne saidBut it was obvious!
Yeah, keep telling yourself that.
If you objectively read what SecondSon said to me and then read my reply which was a pair of quotes about Ahab from Moby Dick...anyone would realise that I am parodying his rant at me with Ahab emotions against the whale...surely you see this?
Perhaps I overestimate you, perhaps you simply lack the intelligence to pick up on these conversational nuances.
@divegeester saidHmmmm.
Aww come on, you know it makes sense.
Two strong opposing characters locked in emotional grapple.
I’m reminded of Batman and Catwoman.
Ghost of a Duke can watch with a hobnob.
No comment.
@divegeester saidGetting a dig in is the heart of parody.
But it was obvious!

It's often too much like looking into a mirror, though.
@fmf saidIt's all true. It's right there in the file you two have compiled on him, I'm sure.
SecondSon conceded that he doesn't have the smarts to teach his religion to people. He talked about driving members of the congregation around and something about chasing off allegedly wrongheaded people claiming to be followers of Jesus.
