Sorry, you just amuse me.

Go on, ask away… what would you like to know about me?
Was there a particular point in time, perhaps an event, where you lost your trust in people?

You don't have real time interactions with Captain Kirk.
Well I’m a member of the William Shatner appreciated club on Facebook and I’ve posted stuff to him a couple of times.

Elsewhere I had a Facebook exchange with Nick Mason which was pretty cool. He’s the drummer from Pink Floyd by the way.

Did he ever reply? How often do you check?

I don’t think so, you see I’m quite a trusting person with people close to me.

I’m afflicted (or gifted, whichever you prefer) with an uncanny sense of people. My wife says it’s unnerving. I just seem to know things about people’s motives and truthfulness sometimes from the briefest of meetings. A very keen sense of intuition I suppose.

Shatner?
He didn’t, not even a “like”. Disappointing as I’m quite a fan of his.

Is it possible you have overestimated this uncanny sense and as a consequence mistrusted people who have actually spoken with honesty?

So it doesn't really count as a real life interaction.

But yes, A likeable persona.

You also acknowledged and expressed admiration for divegeester's ability to read people, in private, before you stormed off.

No but I enjoyed recalling it and telling you about it.

Furthermore I care more about William Shatner than I do about most the lying dimwits on these forums.

Okay, here we go. Firstly, to make clear, this is in no way meant to be taken as a diagnosis. I am neither a psychologist or a therapist {nor a clerk for that matter, but we'll save that for another time). What I am about to suggest is a theory, based on what you have written here and in other threads. (Especially as it relates to your frequent accusations of lying).

We all know of children who are told by their parents that they have the voice of an angel, even when they are tone deaf, and go through life not understanding why other people don't recognise their 'talent.' I think you suffer from a similar syndrome. (Bear with me). People you trust have reaffirmed the belief in you that you have, as you put it, an 'uncanny sense of people,' especially when it comes to honesty. It has almost reached the level of a perceived superpower, where you totally believe you have the measure of people you encounter and can judge with certainly when they are lying.

This is the reason you feel at liberty to challenge personal info a poster has shared, without any hesitation that you might in fact be wrong. I have already explained my default position is to trust people when they share personal experiences, especially when they are traumatic. The idea that I would accuse somebody of making something up, when in reality they had experienced it, would be truly horrible. You are free of this burden, due to your uncanny superpower.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you do not have an infallible ability to detect liars. You have (on many occasions I wager) mocked and ridiculed genuine events that people have willingly shared. I have experienced this from you first hand and can therefore evidence that you do not have an uncanny ability to weed out lies. (As you have accused me of lying about things that I have spoken completely honestly about, demonstrating that your 'uncanny ability' is akin to the singing child believing they can sing like an angel.)

I haven’t said that I have.

But thanks for writing all that manufactured waffle anyway.
I think you could have done better had you really given it a bit more thought.

And despite all this Suzanne remains a pathological liar.

Is any of this "verified" by the fact you "work in mental health"?
