Thread update.
'Trolling' is repeatedly abusing personal information of other users on a daily basis. My job and education are factual things I have shared with other members of the community, consistently over the years I have been here. Romans constant belittling of this personal information is not only petty and spiteful it is profoundly unChr ...[text shortened]... e and have the pleasure of interacting with many genuine Christians, both here and off the site.
Am I not allowed to say I don’t believe you have a degree in theology? Because I don’t.
I’ve encountered online atheists before who have claimed this as a way to give themselves the appearance of authority on spiritual matters - kind of a “I’ve thoroughly studied all of this and concluded it’s bunk.”
I’ve also encountered online atheists before who claim to have been Christians for decades until they saw the light like your pal Kiddo claims.
And then there’s the online atheist (who I have yet to encounter here) who works as a teacher and persuaded some young un many years ago to abandon religion and just received a letter in the mail from the former young un who’s now all grown up and loving the freedom he’s found due to atheism and just had to write the teacher to thank him.
The personas you guys come up with are cliches.
Sad!
The above poster's views are clear on the personal information I have freely shared. It is not incumbent upon him to post sarcastically about them multiple times a day, every day. To do so is not only trolling it is libellous and a violation of this site's terms of service. (Which I have 'not' reported).
Although his views on the details I have shared about my studies (over 20 years ago) and my current employment in mental health are meaningless in themselves and have no impact on the factual nature of both, these remain personal details that form a large part of who am I as a person and are arguably the biggest achievements in my life. (Attaining a degree, with all the work that entailed and working my way up in my chosen profession). I believe I have earned to right to discuss these things, when relevant, with other posters here that I trust and respect, without having to deal with the daily barrage of trolling vitriol from one member of the community, too cowardly to share personal information of his own, but more than willing to abuse such info shared by others.
Romans. I 'get' that you don't believe I have a Theology Degree and Manage a mental health team. You have made that abundantly clear. Now will you kindly shut up talking about it. - You yourself have only shared one personal bit of information (about a relative) and I have 'never' gone there. Never made any comment about that info or joined any conversation about it. I ask you to show the same level of consideration. I believe that to be a reasonable request.

I don’t believe you have a theology degree based on your lack of knowledge of the Bible,
of the Bible shows how shallow your thinking is.
There are other gods you know!

Solomon, considered by many to be the wisest man who ever lived,
And does it matter how many considered him to be wise?
And did he even exist? Evidence is as scant as that for King Arthur.

I'm just saying it is not necessary that he does.

Nobody thinks he is "lying" about having a Bachelor's Degree in Theology, not even Romans1009 does. Ghost of a Duke is simply being trolled, day in day out, that's all. Romans1009 must have accused Ghost of a Duke of lying about his university education about 100 times or more. 150 times, maybe. Often 4 or 5 times in the same day. It's just trolling.

Originally posted by @tom-wolseyFor clarity, I was not asserting that the claim itself was true or untrue, only that I did not find the source provided trustworthy enough to accept their claim.
No, because that's not what happened. Stell attacked the SOURCE of Rom1009's information because the source is an attorney.
I could post a CNN article saying the sky is blue. If you allege the claim isn't true because of my lack of integrity or CNN's lack of integrity, then you are committing a fallacy. The sky is blue regardless of who posted the CNN article, and despite the fact that CNN is regarded by rational people as fake news.
The poster seemed to be stating we should accept the claim as true because several very good attorneys had claimed it to be true. Which seems to be an illogical claim.

I will extend to you the courtesy you did not extend to me when I first arrived here and you repeatedly trolled me for months, falsely claiming I was another poster, bashing me for this other poster’s past behavior and repeatedly calling me a liar when I said I wasn’t him.
You have lied in here by claiming I trolled divegeester about the suicide of his birth mother when I did no such thing. I asked you to produce a single post where I did that and promised to immediately leave the SF and never return if you did. You didn’t.
You lied in claiming I started threads about myself and other posters. You lied in claiming I’m a fake Christian. You lied in claiming I troll other posters when I simply respond with substance to posts they’ve made.
You just don’t like receiving the same treatment you so cavalierly and wickedly dish out.
But, yes, I will stop posting about the blatant lies you tell in here - on the assumption your lies about me also will cease.
Hopefully, in the future, you’ll think twice about how you treat other people but I doubt it.

And no one was talking about “intimate knowledge.”

Planning to leave your bedroom today? At least crack a window. And is taking a shower too much to ask?
