I try to every now and then, but there are times when I even agree with him, he goes after me, so why bother, it then becomes clear it isn't the discussion, its me he wants to do whatever it is he wants to do. We will see, attempting to again.

He is just defining the universe to suit his beliefs. What others do or say mean nothing to him, the only thing that does is his interpretation of how he views events. You can not tell him anything if his mind is made up!
