be sure to include all the falsities in the veda.
never mind, that would take months.
I do hope - you do not have one of those Phd,s that you can pick up out the back of a car-boot sale at the flea market.
Originally posted by DasaWhy would I want to find lists of errors? I haven't asked you for lists of errors, and this is the third time I am pointing this out to you (and the third time you have avoided answering the question I did ask).
Its really up to you to find those lists of errors - and re-read them again.
So now I will ask you a new question: why are you unable to answer the question that I did ask?
Originally posted by RJHindsBut I am sure you have seen atheists (and others) claiming that there are things wrong with the Bible and even in some cases giving lists of those errors. So your earlier suggestion that a lack of such lists somehow supports the Bible being true is flawed.
I haven't seen anything yet that is wrong with the Holy Bible.

I believe meat became required for man's survival as a result of the
fall of man resulting in the flood of Noah's day. Man fell (devolved).
Man did not rise (evolve). So after the flood God had to approve
certain animals as food for man due to the situation. There is no
possible way any creature can evolve without the hand of God. God
is allowing all creatures to devolve at present.

“If a man finds a girl who is a virgin, who is not engaged, and seizes her and lies with her and they are discovered, then the man who lay with her shall give to the girl’s father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall become his wife because he has violated her; he cannot divorce her all his days."
Deuteronomy 22:28
I have already replied to this sta ...[text shortened]... ut in place by Moses for
that time. It does not apply today. So there is nothing wrong here.
Your god is looking at a situation that is bad (men treating women like property and
having marrying and having sex with them against their will) and then making it worse.
Instead of saying "I am your god, do as I say or get hit by lightning" and instructing
people not to rape, and certainly if a woman has been raped, not to treat her with any
less care than if she hadn't, and to punish the rapist, not marry him off to his victim.
We instead get Deuteronomy 22:28~29...
And also, do tell where it says in the bible, these bits of the bible no longer apply....
And if they don't apply any more... why do they still print them.
Originally posted by googlefudgeAre you implying that your example of a "situation that is bad" is universally understood, that it is a unversal truth? If no, then where do you get this standard from?

If so, then do you concede that there is an enternal, universal set of "guidelines" that apply to all people at all times, irrelvent of faith or not?

get married and take care of a wife for the rest of his life without the
chance to ever getting divorced is not punishment enough? You are a
hard man.
P.S. Jesus explained that Moses made some rules for the people due to
the hardness of their heart, but it was never meant to be that way from
the beginning. Jesus made a new covenant.
