'Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God.' Acts 20:28.
A wonderful verse indeed.
This is the Apostle Paul speaking to the elders of the church in Ephesus. They had traveled out to meet Paul on his way to Rome, I think. Probably he had appointed each of them to be the local overseers of the church in Ephesus.
I'd have to revisit the verses involved.
@sonship saidYour selective memory of those 8 or 9 months beggar's belief. And now say you thought the child-abuse troll riff - hundreds and hundreds of posts about getting an 8 year old child drunk and sexualizing it - was merely "combative"?
@FMF
What you're claiming, that you had completely no idea what the nature of Romans1009's posts was,
No, that is what you say I am claiming.
I claimed to have no knowledge of the banning incident whatsoever.
I wrote above that I was familiar with his style of being "combative". Now go back and read it and cut and paste it if you wish.
If y ...[text shortened]... Christian whose posts don't come up to YOUR standard.
None would or ever could anyway, probably.
Did you not cringe when he went from that kind of "combative" stuff about abusing a child [aimed at divegeester, because he didn't like him] in one post to claiming in the next one that he had the "indwelling Holy Spirit" guiding his behaviour? Over and over and over again. Hundreds of threads. For months.
And you've never heard of Andres Serrano's photograph "Piss Christ" either?
@sonship saidIndeed, and perhaps dwell upon them on a personal level.
I'd have to revisit the verses involved.

I never read the discussion of exchange. And I do select what I choose to keep in my memory and what I choose not to think about. "Selective memory" I desire to have.
But I knew nothing whatsoever of the incident or talk about it.

I did not like some of his posts.
The extra details you write about I had no familarity of whatsoever. OF course by now your obsession with the matter brings what I didn't know about be discussed.
And you've never heard of Andres Serrano's photograph "Piss Christ" either?
Read my keyboard.
A long time ago I recall that some stupid artist put a crucifix in a bottle of urine.
That this was discussed or referred to on THIS FORUM in the last 10 years, I have no recollection of WHATSOEVER. (aside from you talking about it for two days)
And a discussion from or between you and Romans1009 or Romans1009 and ANYONE ELSE about some child abuse, I have no exposure to WHATSOEVER.
Now you've checked me out again and again. Let me check you out. Without doing ANY RESEARCH now ....
1.) Who wrote a thread entitled "Bigfoot on Mars" ?
Who did it? No looking it up.
2.) Who said to me in essence "Don't show me respect because it is not mutual".
Who said that to me? No looking it up.
3.) Who told me that he had some meetings in his home with
the "cult" that I meet with?
Who wrote that to me? Off the top of your head .... WHO?
4.) Who wrote this ?
No, I have no faith to nothing and to nobody.
From memory. No research. Who ??
Come on. Don't pretend you didn't know all about these things. Give me the names of who was involved in writing these words.

@sonship saidFor 8-9 months Romans1009 wrote more posts on here than you and me put together. He stunk out almost every thread. He boasted about posting on every thread. More posts than you and I combined. And you have "no familiarity whatsoever" with what those posts were like? Like I say, it beggars belief.

@sonship saidIt wasn't "a discussion". It was thousands of posts. Hundreds of threads. It wasn't just one thread. It wasn't just one comment. It wasn't just one discussion. It was months and months of it, day in day out.

I don't have anything but YOUR word on this stuff.
I don't know what happened.
So what do you think is my responsibility ?
Is it to find some waste of time threads with unpleasant months long arguments bantering back and forth and meticulously FOLLOW its "progress" every day ?
Maybe that's just YOUR style.
"Sonship, you should have KNOWN ... that he was a lousy contributor to Christian behavior and been his private TUTOR to improve."
This may be a shock to you, but you can be offended and someone else have no idea of what took place. As hard to believe that you're not the center of the universe as it is, each offense to you is not the obsession of everybody else on the Forum.
Perhaps start seeing this place as a community rather than a freebie means of publishing monologues.
Like you know a lot about "community".
Right, your "community" is about everybody you can manipulate for your narc supply.
And if they were "monologues" then why don't you keep out of them with your question marks, if they're monologues?
Oooo! Oooo! A monologue!

Do you not think his words were 'also' speaking to you, as a Christian?!
