Yes in that we agree and right now we are sinners living in universe that was created by a Holy Righteous God who has given us two major things do, love God and each other.

Jesus came to die for sinners to save us. He opened up God's grace, and mercy for who so ever will. He did not die for just a small handful, a select few hand picked by Him.

Jesus said when He is lifted up what happens?

God hardens a person's heart, not the other way around.

Once God hardens your heart, your free will is gone.

Do you understand???
I gave several scriptures showing you otherwise read them.

So you are ignoring the implications of God intervening in human affairs?

That is ignorance.

Your Bible verses don't explain this away, and you should stop being God's lawyer.

His problem lies in the belief that God is to be judged by man. If God was like that then God would be evil. This is what jay believes.

Who said God is not intervening in human affairs?

You should pull your head out of your a$$, I acknowledge God's part in all of this, from hardening hearts to softening them. The part you play is choosing and God will do one of two things depending upon YOUR choices. Choose this day who you will serve!

Romans 9

6 It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy.

It means that if you are saved, it is not by human effort, but God's choice.

It also implies that if you are not saved, God decided not to save you.

Yes, oh hard hearted one that is exactly right, and its a good thing too, because if it
was human effort NO ONE would make it. You are not saved by your efforts, you cannot
get to God by showing Him how bloody good you are, because you are not good, you and
the rest of us are sinners, and He is a Holy God. God has mercy on whom God will have
mercy, oh hard hearted one who does not care if everyone goes to Hell, oh hard hearted
one who calls Jesus names and makes very disparaging and derogatory statements all
about the Jesus Christ who had His flesh ripped off His body for His love for us, who had
a crown a thorns put on His head for His love for us, who was nailed to cross for His love
for us and you belittle Him.

I agree I am not saved by my efforts, by my desire, by my worth, I am not good enough
on any level NONE OF US ARE. His love for us makes us worthy, His shed blood cleans
us of our sins. Now the next time you drag His name through the mud again, I'd pull up
your little piece of information you did get right, God lets us in NOT your desires.

Well, you miss the point jabbering on with your own words.

Better is to listen to what is actually in the Bible. God decides who he will love and who he hates before people are even born.

Or do you think Paul brought up Esau because he was a unique case?

Yes, you would do well looking at scripture, all of scripture instead of one verse to pin your
whole belief system on.

How many times do I have to tell you?

Either give the footnotes, or turn off the citations.

You're just as lazy as your theology.

You are as lazy as your lazy theology.

Looking for reasons you can claim that your fate is not your fault.

This is Calvinism at its worst.
