@pb1022 saidYou either think you had "God’s Holy Spirit indwelling you" when you were posting here in 2018 or you don't.
The Apostle Paul speaks quite a bit on the struggle between the Spirit and the flesh in Romans 7 and in Galatians. Galatians is a relatively short book and one of my top 3 favorite books in the New Testament.
Both Romans 7 and Galatians are worth a read if you have time and are interested.
"The struggle" notwithstanding, if your behaviour was attributable to "the flesh" some of the time, why didn't the part of you attributable to the "Holy Spirit indwelling" in you ever apologize?
Which parts of your posting during those 10 months were, to your way of thinking, attributable to the "Holy Spirit indwelling" you? All the copy-pasted "devotionals" and long copy-pasted blocks of text from gotquestions.org?

@fmf saidI honestly think it goes beyond belief.
The difference is I believed it was real back then and now I obviously don't think it was.
Did you sense or feel God’s Holy Spirit indwelling you back then? That’s what I was getting at.
This verse from Romans 8 speaks to what I’m saying:
“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:”
(Romans 8:16)
Did you feel God’s Holy Spirit bearing witness with your spirit that you are a child of God? It goes beyond a cerebral belief.

@pb1022 saidIt's too late to debate me on my Christian faith. That would have had to be done 20 or more years ago. I am more than happy to discuss my current beliefs.

Meanwhile, you are making claims about your current beliefs are. So I ask you this...
What indications are there, in your character and behaviour, that "God’s Holy Spirit [is] bearing witness with your spirit that you are a child of God... [and that] ...it goes beyond a cerebral belief"?

@fmf saidLike I said, check Romans 7 and Galatians for an explanation about the struggle between the Spirit and the flesh. The Apostle Paul, who wrote most of the New Testament, does a much better job explaining it than I ever could.
Nope. Not at all. But you did - and do - claim to "have God’s Holy Spirit indwelling" you, so you either believe it manifests itself in your character or it doesn't.
To my way of thinking, the influence God’s Holy Spirit has in a believer’s life is tied to how often that believer is in communion and fellowship with God through reading the Holy Bible, prayer, listening to Grace-based sermons and worship music, etc. I don’t think Paul directly says that, but I think it’s true based on what I have heard in Bible study classes and experienced as well.
A Christian does not give up his or her free will because God’s Holy Spirit has indwelt them.
But (again) the Apostle Paul speaks well on this in Romans 7 and the entire book of Galatians.
@fmf saidI’m not being evasive at all. I just find your false accusations and your general behavior in this forum when the discussion doesn’t go as you had hoped to be fairly obnoxious.
I am not angry in the slightest. You refer to the "Holy Spirit indwelling" you a lot. It's odd that you now have become evasive when asked about it.
@pb1022 saidDodge noted. Again.

Do you believe you are posting in a way that is guided by "the Spirit" or by "the flesh" under this new screen name?
sonship is another Christian who makes supernatural claims about himself and then starts to become evasive or even sometimes abusive when asked about it.
He used to claim - maybe he still does - that he was "becoming like Jesus" and that "Jesus is flowing through him" but he would always get flustered when asked for examples of how it manifests itself in his demeanour in this community.
