@Ghost-of-a-Duke
You thump on the Bible constanly to try to proof text me to shut my mouth.
Now put on your "Cult Fighter Defending Traditional Christianity" hat and tell me if you believe that the Bible TEACHES that the Man Jesus was God."
If you say "No" my job is easier than I thought.
So what's your answer about what you know the Bible TEACHES?
Taken from the writings of josephw. I think it is most appropriate, and in your case cannot be repeated too often.
All I see in your characterizations is a flushing-out-of-interpretations by the use of a preponderance of excessive words, some of which don't appear in scripture, to the extent that one is drowned into an oblivion of the loss of the ability to think critically about what the scriptures are teaching, especially to the individual student. The Holy Spirit teaches, as do those qualified by God to be pastor teachers.
Yours is an ardent and unrelenting word badgering into submission anyone caught in your sights.
This isn't a private Christian Bible study. This is a public forum, and you're going to be met with equal zeal those, whether Christian or not, that disagree with you.
This is not your seminary, and it is not your classroom. You are not a Dr. of theology. You're just another boob like the rest of us that thinks they know-better-than-thou what we're talking about.
@sonship saidDon't be sorry. The only thing in the Bible divegeester believes is what he thinks buys him fire insurance.
@divegeester
Sonship has talked about man being part of the godhead.
It’s a Witness Lee teaching.
Go to www ministrybooks.org. Use the powerful search engine.
Search on the word "godhead". Probably a thousand and more chapters, thousands of pages, hundreds of books the program can search to find your phrase IF it is there.
...[text shortened]... liens, Jesus watchinh over hell, or something else.
You're stuck on stupid, sorry to say.
@josephw
I probably shouldn't say this, but if I keep reading sonship's posts I'm going to forget how to understand the Bible.
I don't know where to begin to unravel this mess. Every reference, every quote, no matter what context it's taken from, is used to support a single assertion!
"God became man so that man can become God".
I'm beginning to feel like a heretic.
40 years reading the Bible, listening to dozens of bible teachers expound on every verse, commentaries, books, talking to thousands of Christians with every conceivable systematic theological perspective, some good, some bad, but never had I heard of the "deification" of believers until I heard it here.
What in the heck is the matter with me!?
@josephw saidI figured out that about 15 yrs ago. Hence I started condemning the mans nonsense and you church people condemned me for that, claiming that sonship was a man of God. Now look at where you are. .. the same place I was 15 yrs ago. Next year you will be calling the man Satan as well.
@josephw

@josephw
We'll see what Ghost says about what the Bible teaches on the incarnation.
If he says no Christ is not taught as God incarnated as a man, that's easier.
He just missed the boat on what the Bible teaches on the Word was God and became flesh (John 1:1,14)
If he says yes, it does teach that, that is more of a challenge then for if He is God what need was there for Him to be deified? Which I thought was his beef.
Regardless, I said I would attempt to speak to the matter.

@rajk999 saidYou entirely misunderstand.

I have no doubt that sonship is a brother in the Lord.
I just don't agree with the "deification" thing.
My hyperbolic and apparent vitriolic postings against it notwithstanding.
@josephw saidDo you remember what is stated about blasphemy in the bible? You have a brother in the Lord guilty of blasphemy ?

I have atheists brothers in the Lord. I can bet you any money, my atheists brothers in the Lord will fare better than your blasphemous brothers in the Lord.
@sonship saidGhost is pretty good about affirming what the Bible actually says.

He just doesn't believe it is reality.
Debating with Ghost is not grievous, as long as you keep it impersonal and logical.

That is blasphemous.
@josephw saidAtheists who live charitably will be forgiven and will get eternal life. Blasphemers will not be forgiven, and they are the ones facing outer darkness. It is worse for the professing a Christian to be found unworthy, than it is for an unbeliever who did not profess any belief.
You don't have enough money.
Your "atheist brothers" won't fare so well in outer darkness.
Apparently you do not believe Christ when he said
.. Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. (Matthew 25:41-43 KJV)
@josephw saidAll the Good Samaritans of this world are the ones who make up the brothers and sisters in Christ.
"I have atheists brothers in the Lord."
That is blasphemous.
For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. (Matthew 12:50 KJV)
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. (Revelation 22:14 KJV)
Christ brothers and sisters, keep the commandments
