These two verses and the verse in Revelation concerning Petra clears it up and makes it clear that though Peter did help build the church through his service to Christ, the other apostles were just as important, and the RCC's claims are false, which makes sense, because their church has always been corrupt.
Incidently, I've always found the passage in Ephesians illuminating, as Jesus is presented as no more than a cornerstone in a building within which all become bricks. It seems to emphasize, among other teachings, the humanity of Jesus.
However, I fail to see how your false petra/petros distinction plays out in either the Ephesians passage, or the one in The Revelation of John. It seems to me, since the Roman branch of the universal church is not caught up in distortions of Greek, nor myopic literalism, it has more credibility in the search for truth than Darfius.
