I don't think the perspective I have shared "means nothing", either actually or potentially, and I don't think I have been "sloppy".
And you routinely try to relate it back to the single example of contemporary Indonesia.

Determination of what is and isn't a "problem" and the perception of what are or are not "imbalanced rights" would be up to citizens and, thanks to the freedom of the press, right to free speech, the freedom of association and the right to assemble, along with the right to petition their government and hold authorities to account, citizens can participate in po ...[text shortened]... their efforts to see their perceoptions affect the way their society is organized and governed.
What do you make of that?

So where do rights come from?
Who is going to decide what the public definition of "virtue" is in your rightless and freedomless world? The Orthodox bishops whose rings you kiss? Oligarchs? A military junta?

I also think rights should exist. You are welcome to hold whatever view you want on what is or is not "a profound sense of justice" and you are also welcome to make whatever claims you want as to "how we normally think of rights" and the rights and wrongs of it.
Or maybe not.
But cause by rights you aren't actually referencing anything other than like..
Some law... Right?

And, of course, I respect the traditions and philosophies of other nations as well, and while I do not believe that they are equal to my own, I will respect and revere the teachings of them, and I will give my personal approval to those who seek to follow these ways toward a positive end.

My full government name has been posted here before, though.
Fun little anecdote: at first, I did not like the name Philip, but as I have grown older I have come to like it and see why it is popular.
I also like the roots of the name, and I truly appreciate the great men in history who have used this name. So, it's cool.
I've really come around on that.
