i always found it interesting that the 6th book 6th chapter 6 th verse
joshua6:6 mentions the number 7 three times... 777 is a book of correspondences written by crowley...who claimed to be the beast.
crowley used gematia to figure his name in hebrew then into numbers
and it equalled 666.crowley later discovered with outside help he had misspelled his name.they refigured it and again it equaled 666.

For John Dillinger
In hope he is still alive
Thanks for the wild turkey and the Passenger Pigeons, destined to be shit out through wholesome American guts —
thanks for a Continent to despoil and poison —
thanks for Indians to provide a modicum of challenge and danger —
thanks for vast herds of bison to kill and skin, leaving the carcass to rot —
thanks for bounties on wolves and coyotes —
thanks for the AMERICAN DREAM to vulgarize and falsify until the bare lies shine through —
thanks for the KKK, for nigger-killing lawmen feeling their notches, for decent church-going women with their mean, pinched, bitter, evil faces —
thanks for "Kill a Queer for Christ" stickers —
thanks for laboratory AIDS —
thanks for Prohibition and the War Against Drugs —
thanks for a country where nobody is allowed to mind his own business —
thanks for a nation of finks — yes,
thanks for all the memories... all right, let's see your arms... you always were a headache and you always were a bore —
thanks for the last and greatest betrayal of the last and greatest of human dreams.

You ask me why I dare stick out my neck,
Bull-headed, why my heart’s so full of rage?
It’s because I come from Antaeus’s lineage—
God hurls his darts at me, I throw them back.
I am inspired by the Vengeful God
Who planted his angry kiss upon my brow.
Sometimes I’m pale as Abel, then the blood
Of Cain burns to the surface, even now,
O Jehovah! What did your genius avail
Against Dagon my father, or grandsire Baal
Who cursed you “tyrants” from the pit of Hell?
They steeped me thrice in Cocytus from Hades’s shore,
And I guard my mother, the pagan Amalekite.
At her feet I sow the dragon’s teeth once more.
--Gérard de Nerval
The following are some quotes I like from http://www.quotegarden.com/religion.html
If triangles had a God, He'd have three sides. ~Old Yiddish Proverb
The more I study religions the more I am convinced that man never worshipped anything but himself. ~Richard Burton
What religion a man shall have is a historical accident, quite as much as what language he shall speak. ~George Santayana, Reason in Religion
It is very important not to mistake hemlock for parsley, but to believe or not believe in God is not important at all. ~Denis Diderot
Faith, indeed, has up to the present not been able to move real mountains.... But it can put mountains where there are none. ~Friedrich Nietzche, Human, All Too Human, 1879
Most people are bothered by those passages of Scripture they do not understand, but the passages that bother me are those I do understand. ~Mark Twain
Christ died for our sins. Dare we make his martyrdom meaningless by not committing them? ~Jules Feiffer
The third major characteristic of God - "infinitude" - is the catchall, the universal modifier of Christian theology. God is not merely a being; he is infinite being. God is not merely good; he is infinite goodness. God is not merely wise; he is infinite wisdom. And so on down the list. God is exaggeration run amuck. ~George H. Smith, Atheism: The Case Against God
We must respect the other fellow's religion, but only in the same sense and to the extent that we respect his theory that his wife is beautiful and his children smart. ~H.L. Mencken
Christendom has done away with Christianity without being quite aware of it. ~Soren Kierkegaard, Time, 16 December 1946
I think I'll believe in Gosh instead of God. If you don't believe in Gosh too, you'll be darned to heck. ~Author Unknown
One might be asked "How can you prove that a god does not exist?" One can only reply that it is scarcely necessary to disprove what has never been proved. ~David A. Spitz
A thorough reading and understanding of the Bible is the surest path to atheism. ~Donald Morgan
No sooner had Jesus knocked over the dragon of superstition than Paul boldly set it on its legs again in the name of Jesus. ~G.B. Shaw, Androcles and the Lion, 1912
