Genre. Revelation is an apocalyptic prophecy with an epistolary introduction addressed to seven churches in the Roman province of Asia. "Apocalypse" means the revealing of divine mysteries; John is to write down what is revealed (what he sees in his vision) and send it to the seven churches.

Nice to see a new participant.
Stick around for awhile.

@medullah saidI don’t know what you’re referring to.
In the other thread I picked up your gauntlet and presented you with an argument line by line, on how in three treaties the UK went from a full democracy in the 1960's to a pseudo democracy in the 1990s onwards, clearly heading towards a Chinese style arrangement. This is the very reason that this country kicked up and wanted to get out of the EU in the shape of Brexit, as w ...[text shortened]... t you aren't really likely to engage in?
I liked your comments on the NHS on the NHS by the way.
@kellyjay saidThe seven angels who will blow the seven trumpets move this planet that Satan rules through deception and deceit, suppressing the truth closer to an end. Before the Kingdom coming arrives, there will not be a hint of the old evil world left. Nothing of it will linger to contaminate the righteous Kingdom that is coming. The end of the world will not be pleasant, and its end is sure.
The end of the world as we know it is now getting closer, and things are about to get bad as judgment starts to fall.
Revelation 8 English Standard Version (ESV)
When the Lamb opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. Then I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them. And another angel came and stoo ...[text shortened]... ightning, and an earthquake.

Revelation 8 English Standard Version (ESV)
The first angel blew his trumpet, and there followed hail and fire, mixed with blood, and these were thrown upon the earth. And a third of the earth was burned up, and a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.
The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain, burning with fire, was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. A third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.
The third angel blew his trumpet, and a great star fell from heaven, blazing like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many people died from the water, because it had been made bitter.
The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of their light might be darkened, and a third of the day might be kept from shining, and likewise a third of the night.
Then I looked, and I heard an eagle crying with a loud voice as it flew directly overhead, “Woe, woe, woe to those who dwell on the earth, at the blasts of the other trumpets that the three angels are about to blow!”
