No one has been able to demonstrate that the transfiguration of Jesus on the mount of transfiguration is not His divinity being manifested from within Him.
No one has been able to refute that the transfiguration of the the believers is God's life essentially doing the same from within them.
None of the thumb suckers have had to guts to prove unbiblical the truth of God living in men essentially means God-men.
Other than an emotional "But I don't like it!" I see rebuttal to the OP.
@sonship saidI think pride and a lack of Christian humility are at the heart of your quest for deification and willingness to corrupt religious text.
How subjective to a person is the life of that person ?
The very life of a person is really close to the person.
He and his life are very close - inseparable actually.
The New Testament emphatically says that the forgiven, redeemed man can receive God in Jesus Christ as the Holy Spirit to be his very life.
In fact the last Adam, Christ, became a life impart ...[text shortened]... the New Testament. Both are alienated from the life of God.
Even they may display pride in this.
I think pride and a lack of Christian humility are at the heart of your quest for deification and willingness to corrupt religious text.
Please specify WHICH text of the New Testament I corrupted.
I have expounded quite a few passages already.
Which text do you claim I corrupted?
I do not mean which interpretation you don't like. I said which TEXT have I corrupted?
Do you read and write fluently in Koine Greek ?
@sonship saidAll of them.

A typical Christian will come to scripture to listen to what is being said. You come primarily to see how scripture can be twisted to accommodate the ravings of a charlatan.
I think pride and a lack of Christian humility are at the heart of your quest for deification and willingness to corrupt religious text.
We will await the specification of which TEXT I corrupted.
Now, the QUEST for deification is a QUEST that Jesus demands of His followers.
He is the One who said we shall be perfected into one by growth of the divine life and be perfect even as His heavenly Father is perfect.
This does not mean we become a part of the Godhead. But the communicable attributes of God Christ surely intended to impart INTO His lovers. It is not a "quest" initiated by the saved. It is the WILL of the Savior to call us into this deification.
"You therefore shall be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect." (Matt. 5:48)
Not without Him we won't.
Not without His plan of redemption we won't.
Not without His causing us to be born from above we won't.
Not without denying ourselves to follow Him we won't.
Not without the Triune God growing in us PERFECTING us into this oneness with God we won't.
"That they all may be one, even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us; that the world may believe that You have sent Me.
And the glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, even as We are one;
I in them, and You in Me, that they may be PERFECTED into one, that the world may believe that You sent Me and have loved them even as You have loved Me." (John 17:21-23)
Not without His interceding and His indwelling transformation, resurrection, glorification, and perfecting we won't be deified.
You all can see hopefully that this oneness, this deification is on the heart of Jesus. He prays for it. He wants it. He petitions the Father for it. And He lives forever that His people would be saved and that to the UTTERMOST.
"Hence also He is able to save to the uttermost those who come forward to God through Him, since He lives always to intercede for them." (Hebrews 7:25)
@Ghost-of-a-Duke
Which text did I corrupt?
"All of them" is a dodge.
"All of them" is an excuse that you cannot pinpoint any ONE of them.
Do you read and write koine Greek?
Can you translate NT Greek and pinpoint a very bad textural translation?
Which text then do you disagree with to the point that my expounding of it you count as corruption of the English ?
As for your name calling.
Why "Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me."
Learn something from kids.
@sonship saidAgain, all of them.

@Ghost-of-a-Duke
You cannot point out one.
You cannot from "all of them" point out one and demonstrate corruption of text.
Which text of all of them did I corrupt?
Show how I corrupted the text.
Your unbelief doesn't qualify as my corrupting a text merely because of your
unbelief.
@sonship saidAll of them, for the sole reason that you come to scripture to retrofit the ravings of a charlatan.

@Ghost-of-a-Duke
Your unbelief does not constitute Christians corrupting the text of the New Testament.
Your spiritual deadness and unbelief do not constitute believers charlatans.
@sonship saidDo you deny you approach scripture looking for verses that can be twisted to support the beliefs of Witness Lee?
@Ghost-of-a-Duke

@Ghost-of-a-Duke
I affirm that you are unable or unwilling to demonstrate corruption of a New Testament text concerning anything I have written in this thread.
When I see an example of text corruption put forward by you then I'll pay some attention to the example if it has some merit.
On the contrary. The Bible says that the believers look forward to being SWALLOWED UP by divine ZOE [ not BIOS] life.
"For also, we who are in this tabernacle [physical body] groan, being burdened, in that we do not desire to be unclothed, but clothed upon, that that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life." (2 Cor. 5:4)
Christ is the God-man. And Christ is the divine life.
And you can hand wave "Witness Lee, Witness Lee" until your blue in the face.
It is the Apostle Paul teaching that we Christians not only have Christ WITHIN as life. We also look forward that in transfiguration our bodies would be SWALLOWED UP in that divine life.
On the Mount of Transfiguration Jesus temporarily displayed His being swallowed up with glory of God before three of His disciples.
We await the redemption of our bodies as Christians that we too would be swallowed up in life. Clothed upon with that eternal tabernacle of a body whose source is in heaven.
" . . . longing to be clothed upon with our dwelling place from heaven." (v.2)
This divine life of Christ that has been imparted into us is what the Apostle Paul called "this treasure in earthen vessels".
"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellency of the power may be oif God and not our of us." ( 2 Cor. 4:7)
How can the unbelief of some atheist constitute the corruption of the text of the New Testament's precious promises?
