@divegeester saidAre you talking about the topic or people here? I gave no names; I was not speaking about anyone specific, no one had to take offense at what was said because there were no names attached to this. I'm not sure why what was said at a business meeting could not apply to any topic in any forum.
Where to start!
Firstly, “they” are being persecuted. This is a debate forum and some religionists get there ears boxed for being unprincipled, casually dishonest, pious or self righteous in debate. It’s NOT persecution.
Secondly, FMF isn't “thinned-skinned “ because he’s started a thread calling out those who play the victim card. And no is anyone else who does th ...[text shortened]... dynamics of the interpersonal relationships got to do with with what does on in this forum? Nothing!
@fmf saidChristians on here aren’t the ones running to the site admins to whine they’re being trolled and bullied. That’d be atheists and Christ deniers doing that.
Is there anything in scripture that gives Christians licence to play the victim card?
No Christian I know plays the victim card. We’re on Victory Ground, kiddo.
“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
(1 John 4:4)
“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
(1 Corinthians 15:57)
@fmf saidHow could it?!
I don't know what that verse says. You misunderstood my question: does Acts 5:40-42 just ify a victimhood demeanour?
“And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.
And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.”
(Acts 5:40-42)
The apostles were rejoicing - they didn’t have a “victimhood demeanor.”
You’re totally misunderstanding that passage.
