We are all trying to get into heaven. I agree with 'twhitehead' in that acting nice and being nice will not get you into heaven nor hell, it all boils down to who/how you want to serve.

However, I don't believe that eternal life is from loving mankind. I believe that wherever you go, you either ask Jesus to come on into your life, or you don't. If you ask, you get to go to dreamland. Streets of gold, the Bible says. If you don't, you will go to Hell. Eternal weeping and gnashing of teeth, the bible says.

Why do you keep making reference to your age? You say you are 12 here and on your homepage that you're 17.

He is from a Christian background. They have been taught that they have eternal life and sin [of which lying is a serious one], is not a big deal as Jesus takes all their sin on his shoulders. No big deal for them.

Where we part company is that you set about to have our righteousness before God
by our efforts. Our efforts and works are tied into our walk with God, in the Spirit of God.

of their lives as long as they are doing works.

All of the teachings of Jesus is centered around the same doctrine "follow my teachings and you will get eternal life". Here they are again:

Matt 19:17 .. IF thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
John 8:31 IF ye continue in my word, THEN are ye my disciples indeed;
John 8:51 .. IF a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.
John 14:15-16 IF ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever
John 15:10 IF ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
John 15:14 Ye are my friends, IF ye do whatsoever I command you.
Matt 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; BUT he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Therefore if someone follows his commandments :
- THEN that person is a disciple
- THEN that person is never sees death
- THEN that person will abide in Christ's love
- THEN the Comforter is sent to that person for ever
- THEN that person is a friend of Christ
- THEN that person will enter into life
- THEN that person will enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Following the commandments of Christ is CRITICAL & ESSENTIAL, IT IS NOT OPTIONAL for entry into the Kingdom of God... so says Jesus Christ .. argue with Him if you disagree.

What are you arguing for??? I ACKNOWLEDGE that those that love and obey Him are
HIS where we part company is that you think those that just do good works can be
accepted by Him as well. Those that don't believe in Him are condemn already, we don't
have to go to judgment day for that! Those that do not have God's Spirit do not belong to
God either. No where have you ever heard me say that those that belong to God will not
do good works, they will not follow God's Word, they will because they love Him and
have God's Spirit within them.

1. Accept Christ with your mouth
2. God gives you his spirit
3. You then do good works.
4. You are then given eternal life.

If that is not correct then please make the correction and provide references for those points. I have provided clear references from Jesus himself for what I believe. At the very least you can do likewise.
