Its not a matter of point of view. Its what Jessus Christ said.
Please quote the scripture where Jesus said that he lives in those he saves.
The scripture I quote said something else.
Can you not read?
Here it is again:
[i]He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and ...[text shortened]...

NOTHING!! .. that is a fabrication of your church.[/b]
Excuse me, what church do you think I belong too and where did you get that church
doctrine from that you can call it a fabrication of my church?
You are not making more stuff up about me are you?
Originally posted by twhiteheadI think that this is partly untrue. I have my bible out in front of me, and in Isiah 53:10, it describes the will of God. It says, and I quote, " Yet it was the Lord's will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the Lord makes life a guilt offspring, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand."
My reading of the Gospels is that Jesus wants you to act compassionately towards your fellow man because you love them, not because you desperately want to obtain eternal life. Jesus supplies a catch 22. You get eternal life if you are a nice human being. Acting nice just so you can get into heaven doesn't cut it.
We are all trying to get into heaven. I agree with 'twhitehead' in that acting nice and being nice will not get you into heaven nor hell, it all boils down to who/how you want to serve.
However, I don't believe that eternal life is from loving mankind. I believe that wherever you go, you either ask Jesus to come on into your life, or you don't. If you ask, you get to go to dreamland. Streets of gold, the Bible says. If you don't, you will go to Hell. Eternal weeping and gnashing of teeth, the bible says.
And all this from a 12 year - old. Not bad eh?

In either case, it is unwise (and unnecessary) to post such things in a public forum.

Who exactly did the passage state belongs to God?
Where we part company is that you set about to have our righteousness before God
by our efforts. Our efforts and works are tied into our walk with God, in the Spirit of God.
You seem to skip that point to the point that Jesus Christ doesn't even have to be Lord
of their lives as long as they are doing works.

All of the teachings of Jesus is centered around the same doctrine "follow my teachings and you will get eternal life". Here they are again:
Matt 19:17 .. IF thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
John 8:31 IF ye continue in my word, THEN are ye my disciples indeed;
John 8:51 .. IF a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.
John 14:15-16 IF ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever
John 15:10 IF ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
John 15:14 Ye are my friends, IF ye do whatsoever I command you.
Matt 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; BUT he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Therefore if someone follows his commandments :
- THEN that person is a disciple
- THEN that person is never sees death
- THEN that person will abide in Christ's love
- THEN the Comforter is sent to that person for ever
- THEN that person is a friend of Christ
- THEN that person will enter into life
- THEN that person will enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
Following the commandments of Christ is CRITICAL & ESSENTIAL, IT IS NOT OPTIONAL for entry into the Kingdom of God... so says Jesus Christ .. argue with Him if you disagree.

HIS where we part company is that you think those that just do good works can be
accepted by Him as well. Those that don't believe in Him are condemn already, we don't
have to go to judgment day for that! Those that do not have God's Spirit do not belong to
God either. No where have you ever heard me say that those that belong to God will not
do good works, they will not follow God's Word, they will because they love Him and
have God's Spirit within them.

You think the way to eternal life is as follows:
1. Accept Christ with your mouth
2. God gives you his spirit
3. You then do good works.
4. You are then given eternal life.
If that is not correct then please make the correction and provide references for those points. I have provided clear references from Jesus himself for what I believe. At the very least you can do likewise.

Now that is so sad ...😀
Imagine that a professed Christian as yourself that claim to believe so much in Jesus is dumfounded ... sad indeed.

Boy o boy .. you are definitely a lost soul floundering in false doctrines up to you neck if you can state that..... which by the way is an insult to Jesus Christ that you claim to believe ...
