@suzianne saidThe John leaped before the first breath, God tells us we were formed in our mother’s womb. What God starts who are we to cast it away as if it’s disposable trash?
The Jews (and the Hebrews) believe that the new life gets ensouled with the first breath. We may get formed in the womb, but the job isn't finished yet.
What I am telling you is that a natural point after which abortion becomes much less of an option, is the point of viability. Personhood should wait until at least that point. Leave it to Trump's Supreme Court to make criminals out of half of America, because you KNOW that is where this is heading.
@kellyjay saidExcept for those on death row, right?

you think they are as righteous as one condemned for a crime? God judges us
in righteousness; as a race, we have been condemned for our sins which is clearly
stated in scripture. Through the mercy given to us in Christ, we are saved; without
Christ, we stand in our sins. So God takes sinners and turns them into sons and
daughters in Christ; that is the work of God through us, not something we can
attain by our efforts.
John 3:18
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
2 Corinthians 5:21
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

@kellyjay saidUtter unbiblical nonsense bent to suit your politics.

The Lord says “vengeance is mine I will repay”.
By you supporting the state murdering someone you are complicit in going against this direct instruction, of sending an unbeliever straight to hell and of denying Jesus Christ of the opportunity to deliver and save them.

@divegeester saidRighteousness is what He judges all by! Vengeance is His, and He gave us laws to live by, and in them punishments for breaking those laws. Unless you are suggesting we should live in a lawless society now how do you promote doing away with laws? This isn’t an issue due to political views, but life according to scripture. Can you justify no punishment for crimes. with scripture?

Misdirection much?
Do you really think that capital punishment replacement by incarceration renders a society "lawless"?
Do you really think that capital punishment replacement by incarceration means there is "no punishment for crimes"?
I don't suppose you do.
So why are you wielding it like a strawman and suggesting that it is anyone else's stance?

@fmf said"Misdirection," "I think," "I really think," followed up with what you suppose.

Righteous judgment by God was my topic; this is just another example of how
you talk about things without addressing them directly; what you do is spend
your time talking about someone other than the topic itself. Had you addressed
the topic, my name, what I thought, or my feelings or motivations would not
been addressed, but you focus there deflecting from the topic itself.
Odd that you proclaim misdirection when that is all you are doing.
Yes, you are the topic of this post!
@fmf saidYou addressed me tying me to the points making it about me. You did not speak to righteousness, only what your perception of me was concerning those points, are you really so deceived you cannot separate the speakers from the points being made? Again this is directly about you.
I addressed exactly what you said explicitly and directly and with verbatim quotes. Maybe you didn't say what you thought you said?
Nothing you responded to had anything to do with righteousness!

@kellyjay saidNobody has advocated "doing away with laws" or "living in a lawless society" as you have implied. Such ridiculous rhetorical sleight of hand is the complete opposite of "righteousness".

@divegeester saidEvidence, please.
I still internalise and focus on what I believe are the accounts of and direction towards behaving in a morally positive way
@fmf saidSo you acknowledge when someone does a crime the laws should be enforced?
