@kellyjay saidIt’s not right to put yourself in place of Christ and judge when a person has had sufficient time to repent in order to justify killing them.
And all the days before that time, there were no possibilities, no opportunities to
turn to the Lord. You realize it is God who calls us, right? We either accept or reject
Him; it isn't like we get to put Him off till we feel like it.
In supporting state sponsored executions you are setting yourself up in place of Christ and sending inmates straight to hell.
@divegeester saidTo be fair, in the US, people spend years on death row, they can't be executed until their appeals run out. Plenty of time to "come to Jesus".
Difficult to repent when you’ve been executed.

anything beyond that promised to you. If you ignore the call on God in your life
and it ends, you stand in your sin. Having a date certain we know our lives are
about to end, does not change that; the only thing that fixes in us, is the certainty
of the end; it does not remove our ability up to that time in getting right. A death
sentence only removes the illusion that we can do it tomorrow.

could amount to a fine, loss of time, or one's life depending on the law and the
way, it is written.
I don't send anyone to hell; if any dies, they will stand or fall on their relationship
with Jesus Christ, and you can be a Christian and get sentenced to death doing
righteousness, your end would be no different; you die.
The only thing that matters after that is our response to God while here in this
life while we were allowed to turn to the Lord, repenting our sins, did we or not?
@kellyjay saidNone of this if scripturally supported.

@divegeester saidYou believe in scripture as the how we view things correctly? All scripture?
None of this if scripturally supported.
What exactly do you think I said that isn’t supported?
@suzianne saidI wouldn’t say that was “being fair”.

Every man (or woman) has a time appointed for them by God, and there is a plan that God has for everyone to repent.
Taking a life is questionable at the best of times, it when you believe that taking that life will send that person straight into hell and eternal suffering…. Well that’s just sick.

@divegeester saidYou have a lifetime to repent until the day you die. Having a scheduled death does

not void anything; you have time till you don't.

@divegeester saidSo you believe throwing reason out the window (and your principles) is okay if it proves your point and allows you to deride a Christian.

@suzianne saidIt’s interesting to note how you don’t challenge KellyJay on his incoherent, unbiblical, amoral assertions relating to abortion, capital punishment and eternal suffering…
So you believe throwing reason out the window (and your principles) is okay if it proves your point and allows you to deride a Christian.
Nice.
But you choose to attack me instead.
Why is that?
