@divegeester saidThe thing is you go on and on about so many things dive, I wonder how many posts you wrote about a deleted post by someone here, that was pure nauseating just watching that mind numbing exchange unfold. The topic was so unimportant!
I “so what” to claiming I’d said something. Do try to keep up old chap.
Yet with respect to Hell, evil, Jesus Christ and His righteousness, what is God going to do with sinners, "so what". The issue if true is a grave one don't you think? If not true there should be some answers from you forthcoming, what God is going to do instead of what is written in scriptures. When questions, glib non-answers show how unimportant this really is to you, for me it is one of the most frightening thing we can discuss.
It isn't that anyone likes the idea of Hell, I'm hoping no one here goes there, the less the better, but like a lot of bad things in life, my likes and dislikes do not change the fact they occur.
@divegeester saidSo evil people, what happens to them? They were created for life, God is the God of the living not the dead. We were given life by an eternal God, we were made in His image when creation started. Throughout scripture we see that the dead are just someplace else and what is called the final second death is a lake of fire. People we are told in scripture are going to be cast into this lake, but you say no why?
No, I believe that no one goes to hell no matter what.

@kellyjay saidThe problem with your torturer god ideology is not whether one likes it or not; the problem is that it comes across as moral nonsense. You even said, yesterday, "I'm glad God isn't fair." It just sounds bonkers.

@kellyjay saidI'm sorry, but there are just so many unprovable assertions in that post that there is nowhere to begin.

Also, if we were made in the image of God, doesn't it follow that God is also complicated, inconsistent, sometimes evil, sometimes good, and also in need of understanding and forgiveness?
@caesar-salad saidI suggest beginning by reading the Bible.

@caesar-salad saidIncorrect, like a map one needs hold up the right way.*
And I suggest that the Bible has become an obstacle rather than a guide.
*thats me being “metaphorical” KellyJay, like the visions of John on Patmos when he wrote the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
@kellyjay saidGosh what an amazingly perverse version of God you have KellyJay.
If God was fair we would all be heading to Hell since all of us has sinned.
He speaks the entire universe and the abundance of life into being on Monday through to Saturday, he allows Satan into his special garden on what, the following Monday (or whatever) and by Tuesday it’s all gone tits-up and everyone has to be burned alive for eternity to satisfy this version of God’s monstrous appetite for everlasting smoke and brimstone flesh-melting agony.
Supreme authority? Ha!
What you believe is a ridiculous perversion of scripture. I don’t know whether you need to spiritually grow up, get out of your church or just pray for some enlightenment. You honestly make me gasp with astonishment with the abhorrent nonsense you have internalised.
@caesar-salad saidThat would true only for those not wanting to walk in the light of it.
And I suggest that the Bible has become an obstacle rather than a guide.
@divegeester saidFair would be punishing everyone for their sins, merciful allows for grace. If God gave us what is just and fair, we all would be sharing the fate of Satan and his angels.

@kellyjay saidSo... you're glad... that your God figure is... "not fair"?

What belittling-yourself stuff is this you are posting in public?
@kellyjay saidThis “God is not fair” slogan you have made up is scriptural incorrect.
Fair would be punishing everyone for their sins, merciful allows for grace. If God gave us what is just and fair, we all would be sharing the fate of Satan and his angels.
The bible says throughout that God is just. It never, not even once, says that he is unfair by saving people.
This stuff is all out of your own mind.
@divegeester saidChurches have a perverse version of God, not just KellyJay. He did not fabricate these doctrines.

@divegeester saidAdd yet beyond saying what I have said you dislike you don’t make a case for the truth as you see it in scripture. You make claims that what is said is metaphorical but don’t expound on what the truth of scripture really means instead. You are all complaint without a Biblical reason as to why.
