Do you think jews as whell as christians will recognize the same Jesus? Both groups are awaiting a new Messiah, right?
The answer is yes to the first question, and no to the second. Jews and Christians are not both awaiting a "new" messiah.
Jewish tradition says that the Son of God will arrive as a warrior, vanquishing evil once and for all, judging all men, and establishing his kingdom on Earth. This is why they did not acknowledge Him as messiah on His first appearance. The Jews are still waiting for such a messiah, they see Him as the savior of their people. They are not awaiting a "second" coming of the Son of God, but a first. To them, the second coming of Christ will be the first appearance of their messiah.
But yes, it will be the same person as the messiah of Christianity.
