@fmf saidMy own particular favourite David Byrne song, and probably what converted me to 'Talking heads'. When I first heard it I played it quite a lot, at a quite high volume.
"Heaven is a place where nothing ever happens".
'It's hard to imagine
that nothing at all
could be so exciting
could be this much fun.'
The man's a genius.
@executioner-brand saidWhere is heaven? As if you'd know.
Here on earth, another galaxy far far away or even beyond the stars and time. Will you be able to travel there one day?
Or maybe jesus just had really good dreams that will never join with reality and the laws that exist.
Earth is the first heaven.
As I understand, we are died and put into a state of sleep & waiting until the resurrection. Some Orthodox say that, during this time, we are in the spiritual heaven or spiritual hell until the final judgment. Others say that we simply wait until the final judgment.
The final judgment happens on earth, and then the first heaven occurs on earth. Some say that this is a temporary affair, others say that it is eternal and that the spiritual heaven (which is non-corporeal) simultaneously exists... There's plenty of room for disagreement because this is generally speculative and based off of parts of the Bible whose meaning is unclear for a variety of reasons.
I must apologize -- I am not an expert on this at all and am merely venturing a guess. Google would probably give you a better & more robust answer. But, alas, that is not what a discussion forum is for. 🙂
@galveston75 saidYes, I do. I personally "know" ~ in so far as I believe ~ that "Heaven" exists only in the imagination of people who have a need to believe that they are going to end up there after they die. That's where "Heaven" "is". So, I am in category [3] in the post you were responding to. What about you? What do you personally "know"?
So you personally don't know?

Why don't you just admit you don't know what you're talking about?
@secondson said"Admit" what? I do know what I am talking about and I have described it very clearly.

@edward-palamar saidThought he was omnipresent, therefore "lives" everywhere?
Heaven is where Our Creator lives, and as such, should always be capitalized.
@wolfgang59 saidSo, it ought to be Everywhere, then.
Thought he was omnipresent, therefore "lives" everywhere?
@fmf saidI posted what the bible describes as heaven. That is my belief. Not some made up opinion but my belief in what the Bible says.

@executioner-brand saidSpiritual realm does not equal material realm.

Nice try though.
@galveston75 saidIt is your opinion that what the Bible says about "Heaven" is true and that's OK. We have now exchanged personal opinions in answer to the question "Where is heaven?" Personal opinions ~ if they are honest and sincere ~ aren't really "made up". They are reached. We have both reached our separate and different personal opinions.
