A friend of mine plays in the "2008 Championship". How do I know in which grop he is playing in? Do I really have to test test grop by group, or do I have to ask him? Isn't there any search feature for this?

If he's a friend of yours, just ask him. Is that a problem??
To answer your question: No, there's no search feature. But participants know which group they're in...

Yes, I could ask him, no problem with that. It would be better with a seasch feature though.

If I may suggest, why not have a participant list, with all participants and their group in the champ tourney. Then I can search for myself with the browser search, ctrl-F.

With this aid, I can scan through and see also what friends I have there, and where.

On page 7 of this thread Russ said he quickly added a link to find your own group! 😛

He also said that a search would be handy. I guess we may just see some improvements to the tournaments appearing down the line 🙂

It doesn't have to be anything fancy. A list with names and their group would be handy enough. IE ctrl+F is a wonderful tool in its simplicity...

I do consider it better as it starts searching as you start typing. It may find what you're looking for long before you finish typing your word/phrase. The downside to this of course is that it consumes more system resources.

It's even better if you turn on the option to "Search for text when I start typing". That way you don't even need to press Ctrl-F.

Well it's still very undecided.
DavidTebb, cesrex, irfan21 and me are battling it out, it could be anyone of us, there are a lot of tense games.
I must say yesterday I lowered my chances of proceeding to the next round by blundering my queen in a game that was winning for me against cesrex.

I use command-F. Ctrl does nothing for me.
