But Mr. Trackhead, those banded tournaments you are going to join don't count, you know...!
So keap out of them this time! Thank you.

TRACKHEAD21 never won a banded tournament ... all 6 of TRACK's wins were tournaments open to the highest rated players.
but: the tournaments did not have a large enough field of entrants, and so they do not constitute entry into this hall of fame ... only 174 players were eliminated.

In each case skeeter was eliminated in the last round .... i cannot help thinking that this is all connected somehow.

Originally posted by flexmoreI'll be back soon enough. The November Hardcore tournament will give me 7 with some more victories over people plus i'm in a Grand Split that will be #8 and add even more people. I do think though that I am one of the few who truely belong on the list. You base the numbers on how many people were eliminated in the tournament instead of how many peoploe the players eliminated in the tournament. In my tournament wins I played in mostly all vs all tournaments or two group tournaments where each group was all vs all. In the november Hardcore tournament 19 players would have been eliminated but, I eliminated all 19 myself. Don't get why players in other groups are counted as being eliminated in this list. My guess is that I would be number 1 on the list if you only counted eliminated players from the groups each player was in.

knocking out 30 very low rated players in the first round does not take a chess champion ... even i could do it in the right company.
all-play-all "grand" tournaments are for people who like to play lots of chess. These tournaments do not give a strong player a serious challenge.
taking on lots of round three or round four players - that is when the going gets very tough.
i know you have the moves to win some tougher tournaments - i am surprised you have not done so.
Originally posted by flexmoreIf non challenging games didnt count that would be even less. In tournament with a bunch of rounds a high rated player won't have a challenging game until the last round and all the low rated players they beat in each round meant nothing. All vs all mixes it up. I'm playing other high rated players and eaveryone else at the same time, much tougher than having to beat 3 low rated players in roudnd 1, then another 3 in round 2 and then another in round 3 and finally play another high rated player in the last round. Sure, I could have entered and won a bunch of those many round tournaments but my thing is that I hate waiting ma year for a tournament to end so I enter ones that will end in a timely manner instead of the ones where 1 or 2 idiots will hold up the tournament in each round. Had a newbie in the November Hardcore say he was considering his options in a game when he had only one possible move which lead to checkmate and still he let the game sit. Luckily there was no timebank so I would have timed him out anyway but he finally simply resigned.
