ICCF Member Federations
https://www.iccf.com/countries
As you see from the list of the member federations of the ICC (International Correspondence Chess Federation), Russia and Belarus are not on the list.
It is so because they were excluded based on Russian aggression against Ukraine, an aggression that was supported by Belarus.
Now, Hamas committed a terrorist attack on 07 October 2023. After that, Israel has been bombing civilians in the seized Gaza Strip. As of now, 11,000 civilians have been killed.
You see that Israel is on the list of the ICC.
Israel should be excluded from this list based on Israel's enormous war crimes and crimes against humanity.
The only other consistent option would be to declare that it was a mistake to politicise sports and to annul the sanctions imposed on Russia and Belarus.
There is no question about Hamas in the present context.
Hamas is not a state. Hamas is not on the list of ICCF member states. Hamas cannot be excluded from that list, because it has never been there.
Even Palestine is missing from the list of ICCF member states.
Moreover, the US is hunting Hamas leaders anyway. The EU declared Hamas to be a terrorist organisation anyway. Therefore, it would be not so important to add some chess sanctions on Hamas anyway.
Those chess players here, who accused me of I do not know what, refuse to see the elephant in the room.
Perhaps it is even not an exaggeration to say that their hands are bloody up to their elbows.
@eintaluj saidNot the same. At all.
I call on all chess organisations to either immediately lift the restrictions imposed on Russia and Belarus or to impose the same restrictions on Israel.
If you were going to use the first as excuse for the second, you would go looking to get restrictions on Hamas, but I really doubt they even have a chess club, nevermind grandmasters.
@EintaluJ
For your information, Israel IS letting Palestinians out the back door, but by checking thoroughly WHO they let out. It has happened in the past that Hamas terrorists escape disguised as innocent citizens. So this will be a slow process.
And the IDF is giving two or three hours a day for emergency supplies and wounded people to be attended to.
But they won't give a ceasefire, because thats what Hamas wants, to regroup and start it all over again.
The IDF will eradicate the vermin who has chosen to build bunkers beneath schools and hospitals. This is the human shield I was talking about.
No mercy for them I'm afraid.
@eintaluj saidThe civilians of Gaza who elected Hamas into power some 15 years ago, need to accept responsibility for their fate, and for the predicament in which they now find themselves. If a party is elected into power by an overwhelming margin [which it was at the time], and that party conducts itself and the affairs of the people not to the satisfaction of the people, then it is the responsibility of the people to remove that party from power. The fact that there was no move to get rid of Hamas says something.
Now, Hamas committed a terrorist attack on 07 October 2023. After that, Israel has been bombing civilians in the seized Gaza Strip. As of now, 11,000 civilians have been killed.
Hamas has been murdering Jewish civilians by suicide bombing, firing rockets into civilian spaces for the last 15 years. The residents of Gaza, were rejoicing and jumping for joy every time Jews died so they must have known that this day would come, when the Jews would retaliate and seek revenge, and that they were putting their lives and that of their families - children and women at risk. Unfortunately its too late to beg for mercy.
@pawnpaw saidIndeed ... even some members of the public in some Arab states. I have never seen anyone dance and rejoice in the street when people die. Its a common practice for Islamic extremists to do that when Jews and Americans are killed at the hands of these murderers.
"Perhaps it is even not an exaggeration to say that their hands are bloody up to their elbows."
This is particularly applicable to Hamas.
@suzianne saidNo, I am not looking to get sports sanctions on Hamas because, as I have said above, Hamas is banned on a political level already. Moreover, Hamas does not have, for example, a chess federation in the ICCF, therefore, it cannot be excluded from the ICCF.
Not the same. At all.
If you were going to use the first as excuse for the second, you would go looking to get restrictions on Hamas, but I really doubt they even have a chess club, nevermind grandmasters.
@pawnpaw saidWhatever, I am not talking about Hamas. It can be discussed, but I avoid discussing the issue of what is their legal status, etc.

I am talking about the unarmed civilians in the Gaza Strip.
As of now, I am convinced that Israel's politics since October 2023 amounts to genocide.
Already in 2014, it was known that it amounts to serious war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Anyway, there is sufficient evidence that sports sanctions should be imposed on Israel, provided that the sanctions imposed on Russia remain intact.

I will not explain it here, but I simply mention that rajk999 preaches collective punishment and, therefore, propagates war crimes and crimes against humanity.
There will be no discussion between me and such proponents of war crimes.
@pawnpaw saidPerhaps. As I have repeatedly said above, my issue here is related to chess sanctions. We cannot expel Hamas from the FIDE or the ICCF because it has never been a member of these organisations.
"Perhaps it is even not an exaggeration to say that their hands are bloody up to their elbows."

Concerning Israel's war crimes in the Gaza Strip, you should know that the concept of war crimes does not refer to the war crimes of the enemy.
Whatever war crimes Hamas has committed, the war crimes of Israel still remain war crimes.
There’s certainly a double standard.
But there always is.
Look at the US’s invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan and compare that the US’s reaction to other countries invading other countries.
As I’ve stated before, best to keep decision making based on politics out of sports.
Take, as an example, Celtic football club from Glasgow. They often wave the Palestinian flag. Being the Catholic team from Glasgow, they see the Palestinians, as a people, in the same position that the Catholics were / are in Northern Ireland (and to a certain extent Britain as a whole).
The football union fines the supporters for flying that flag, but the Rangers supporters don’t get fined for flying the Union Jack. Which is also waved in a political context.
@eintaluj saidLots of war crimes and genocide on-going at this moment in Yemen and Sudan perpetrated by Islamic regimes. I guess as it is not the Jews involved you dont care about that.

But you still do not say that the chess sanctions imposed on Russia and Belarus should be annulled. You have not agreed with that part of my Public Appeal.
As I said in that Public Appeal, if the chess sanctions imposed on Russia and Belarus were lifted because the sports should not be politicised, then there would be no need to impose sanctions on Israel.
@rajk999 said@rajk999 not only advertises the barbaric vendetta principle and promotes collective punishment, banned by international law, but this person also tries to justify Israel's ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip by referring to some other genocides somewhere else. Moreover, @rajk999 directly slanders me.

I think that no one should play chess with such persons as @rajk999, and no one should even talk with the people with such a criminal mindset.

- killing and persecuting non- muslims in Sudan, to date almost 400,000 dead
- killing and persecuting non- muslims in Yemen , to date almost 50,000 dead
- strat bombs to their chest and detonate it a crowded malls, restaurant and buses.
- throw gays and homosexuals off buildings
- execute adulterers and fornicators-
- force women to wear hijab and impose other ridiculous dress codes
- pass laws that allow men to rape their wives.
These are the criminals that you support. People should stop playing chess with your, but we dont want to bring down our standards to you level... we playing with everybody, even scum like you.
