Biden isn't a Republican or Democrat, a conservative or a liberal.
He is a consummate politician.
Forty Seven years in office, he says whatever the crowd he is playing to wants to hear. He changes his mind the way people change socks. He doesn't believe in anything, he just wants to keep getting re-elected so he can keep making money.

Tough for Biden to get "re-elected" isn't it?

Your last paragraph applies far more to the Donald than it does to Joe Biden.

Re-elected to office, which he has done for 47 years.
I didn't say re-elected to president.

It is the "Republican health care proposal" only in your (deluded) mind.

I gave you the wording from the Platform.

And in case you missed it, the individual mandate is no longer in effect.
The individual mandate was very unpopular. It was apposed by Americans 2 to 1. Who repealed the individual mandate?

The "debate" whether Trump is to the left of Biden is one YOU started in your OP. And it isn't a "debate" really.

Maybe you should define "true Democrat". Biden surely isn't in the progressive wing of the party, but he has been in the center of the party for decades. Would you say Nancy Pelosi isn't a "true Democrat" either?

Biden got the most votes from Democrats in the primaries and that is why he is the nominee.
Give me one example of Biden being to the left of a republican.

How many do you want?

He's for universal health care; they aren't.

He supports raising the minimum wage; they don't.

He supports higher taxes on the wealthy; they don't.

I suggest you read the Democratic Platform that he and his supporters agreed to.

Bernie Sanders voted for the ACA; does that make him a "Republican", too?

I never supported it and thought the ACA would work fine without it. It has though Trump and his administration have made every effort to hinder its workings and deprive Americans of health care. https://www.cbpp.org/sabotage-watch-tracking-efforts-to-undermine-the-aca

Sure the Republican Congress voted to end the mandate thinking it would make the ACA unworkable. That failed. So right wing State attorney generals and the Trump Justice Department are in court trying to say that by repealing the mandate, the ACA is now unconstitutional.

The argument is ridiculous (if Congress intended to repeal the ACA, they would have) but it is in front of the SCOTUS in a month.

Now you are denying facts and you know it. Biden said he would veto medicare for all. He is against universal health care. Since the individual mandate is a republican idea, fighting for that as if it is support for universal health care would only prove it is the republicans that deserve credit for it. After all, it was their idea. Both parties flip flopped on that issue. The republicans pretended they were opposed to their own plan and the democrats were duped into thinking it was their plan and dug in to defend it, kind of like you are doing right now. You are defending the republican plan. You are a chump for it.

Biden promises a lot of things he has no intention of honoring. Like Trump he lies a lot, so you can't believe anything he promises. It is his voting record that matters.

Obama made a lot of promises he didn't keep as well. Since Biden is eager to take credit for everything Obama he should take the blame too. Remember when Obama tried to convince the people of Flint that their drinking water was safe? That would explain why Rick Snyder endorsed Biden. They think alike.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/video/2016/may/04/obama-drinks-flint-water-video

Is the Democratic Platform against medicare for all? If not, Biden is rejecting that part of the platform. If the Democratic Platform is against medicare for all that just proves they are against universal health insurance.

Sanders never fights for what he claims to. He threw the primary election to Biden knowing full well how far to the right Biden is. He might as well be a republican. Sanders is a millionaire. I do question his devotion to the left. He isn't even a socialist as he claims. He is a free market capitalist. The democrats are stupid for thinking he was too far to the left. Sanders is a progressive democrat, not a socialist. Even democrats don't know what a socialist is. They are as ignorant as Trump. They talk about Sanders being a socialist as if it is a bad thing. If they knew the definition of socialism they would realize Sanders isn't one and they might realize they like the idea of socialism.

Did you really just avoid a debate on the debate forum with a pathetic ad hominem attack?

Biden tried to cut medicare and SS. Democrats hate it when republicans do that. They love Biden for it so they must love people that cut entitlements, right?

Is that what you support, cutting medicare and SS? Are you a secret republican too?

So Bernie Sanders "might as well be a Republican" too and Trump is to the left of him, I suppose.

This is why I don't normally waste my time in your threads; they are borderline crazy.

Sanders never fought hard for anything he claimed to be passionate about. He is not a socialist and he was only running to give the appearance of democracy. He threw the primary election to his good friend Biden and Trump is going to get a second term because of that.

Sanders talks like a leftist while letting the republicans get what they want. The democrats in general do that as well.

You can call something crazy all you want. If you cannot prove it you are the one who is crazy. Are we all supposed to take your word for it despite failing to prove your case?

All you are doing is looking for an excuse to flee from a losing debate. You do that often when you are losing badly and you always end it with a typical ad hominem attack that is indicative of failure on your part.

BTW, Sanders is a liar too.

"Proving" something to someone as deeply irrational and stubborn as you is impossible.

But I've already proven to any reasonable observer that your entire premise is incorrect; that Biden fits into the Democratic Party as shown by the Democratic Party Platform. Your response is now to say basically everybody in the Democratic Party isn't leftist enough to be a "Democrat" and that includes people as far to the American Left as Bernie Sanders and the person who wrote the article that you relied on in your OP!

At some point, trying to reason with you is a complete waste of time and that point has been reached. If it helps your inflated ego to believe I don't want to bother with this thread anymore because the brilliance of your arguments has forced me into a hopelessly losing debate, go ahead and do so.

What did you prove? You have to be specific if you want anyone to believe you proved anything. Now you are digressing into Sanders. Just admit defending Biden is nearly impossible. Even defending Sanders is hard to do. Jimmy Dore exposed Sanders for being a corporate tool.

The only thing you have proven here is that you want to run away from this debate with your tail between your legs. Your lack of specificity and ad hominem attacks makes that obvious to reasonable people.

Trump said that Biden is too far to the left. That is an obvious lie. Anyone who believes that is a fool.
