@wildgrass saidBut , but, you are prosecuting the shooter guilty, yet You chastise JJ for appearing to defend him without knowing the facts…..do you?.
It's interesting you're defending the one dude here even while admitting that you don't know what "a lot more to it" there is.
So yes, hypocrite

@averagejoe1 saidNo we are also prosecuting your NRA controlled body politic whereby in order for that much gun consumption to make any sense you must come up with ever flimsier justifications for their use, like someone ringing the wrong doorbell.

This is still fresh. Kansas police still has time to do the right thing.
The point is we know from experience just how things go when it comes to these shooting. If you will recall, the maggots that chased that guy in a truck and shot him to death were also let go. They were free for a month or more and things started moving along just because the public opinion raised a stink over it
This also needs to stay in the spotlight because i have low confidence the police will do the right thing without eyes on them

@averagejoe1 saidNo I take no position on this. I responded to a post who was defending the shooter for no reason.

@jj-adams said"The homeowner is a white man in his 80s, according to property records and law enforcement records. "
"Officials have not yet identified the homeowner or his race. He was taken into custody but was released 24 hours later pending further investigation, Police Chief Stacey Graves said in a press conference on Sunday."

Interesting that you are condemning him as guilty without any information, we don't even know his name or what color he is.
I'm betting the kid did a lot more than ring his doorbell.
I'm betting you're wrong though the advanced age of the shooter might have played a part in him being released without charges for the time being.

@zahlanzi saidThat was the 'jogger' that grabbed a shotgun right?

@no1marauder saidThe 'jogger' that grabbed a shot gun, that was pointed at him.
The one pointed at him.

@suzianne saidI think that's a premature assumption.
Because he's white.
The police may well have figured a man in his 80s wasn't much of a flight risk and that because the injuries weren't fatal, interviewing the alleged victim might be appropriate before filing charges.
A judgment call, maybe or maybe not influenced by racial factors.

@no1marauder saidYep, if that isn't the most idiotic thing I've ever heard, grabbing a gun that's pointed at you, if there's a finger on the trigger that thing is going off.
Makes a bit of a difference, doesn't it?
