I think the negativity is being counterproductive and may lead folks not to participate.I am guilty of negativity and I for one would like to curtail it. I would like to bury the hatchet with you and move forward. I do like some joking and a little poking fun but I don't like folks to have hard feelings. I couldn't stand Scriabin when I started but I do miss him now. I mention this as I was able to see what he was saying and he is very respectable. I didn't agree with everything he said but it didn't matter. What do you say, bury the hatchet?
I wan't commenting on "where" most of the right wing posters are on the "scale". I was commenting on their low credibility and their low calibre.

I do find it telling, however, that before the election the far left went on the offfensive by attacking Bush and McCain. Of course, considering the big target they had they enjoyed much success and were rather nasty about it. However, now that they have their favorite statist in office along with his cronies in Congress they kinda disappeared, like Scrabian, or want to make nice and have a less negative ambience on these forums like FMF. Of course, now that the conservatives have an equally nice juicy target in Obama and company I suppose we are to remain civil about it. I have to say, as I see my freedoms disappear, rather quickly I might add, it seems harder and harder to be civil about the whole affair. It is a challenging thing to do indeed!!
Originally posted by FMFWell I tried! I do not hate homosexuals for the record but maybe in time you will see it. I will still respect you and bury the hatchet anyway, as I meant what I said. I do this with absolutely no expectations of reciprocity in any way.

Originally posted by whodeyI think you do great. Keep up the issues as there may be other folks on RHP reading it. There will be those that think slick talking is the substitute for truth, but those with half a mind can see through it and those using it. Our freedoms could disapear soon and I know that you know it is not a partisan issue. Hard to see it coming especially if you have children ,but we can hope it will be stopped before there is too much damage .Interesting times ahead eh?

However, what gives me hope are people in history like Winston Churchhill or Ghandi, or David and Goliath, or Chirst. I just don't know why the face of evil always seems industructible and powerfull. I suppose it is to test our resolve and see what we are made of, eh?

Originally posted by whodeyI think you are right. How daunting it must have looked during the revolution. I hope things will not go that route or a civil war. In history though it fell upon someone. There could still be hope without this. I think when it fails it will fail fast and the statists will back off. If not we are in for a long haul.

Originally posted by whodeyI have thought that too. I definately don't want to be on the wrong side of abortion. In a way it makes me a one issue voter but that is not my fault. I really oppose anyone that will take the fruit of my labor and use it for murder.

RHP's resident "right wing" moaning minnies now mentioning themselves in the same breath as Winston Churchill, Ghandi and Christ - no doubt hoping for calibre-by-association. Citing the American Revolution. Vague predictions of Civil War II and federal troops gunning down "U.S. patriots". Comparing Obama to Hitler. Accusing those who disagree of being "the face of evil" or "dumbed down". Remembering The Alamo...
Do you think your forum credibility is going up with this stuff? Or you think your forum credibility is going down with this stuff? Who is your audience?
You claim to be 'non-partisan', and yet one can tick off the far-right Pavlovian Dog barking points one by one.
Where are the politically literate, coherent posters who champion conservative values and policies - as they would be applied in the real world?
The "right's" problem on a national level is mirrored here at RHP where it is in blathering, semi-literate, lashing out disarray.

Perhaps I do get on here and whine a bit, but you know, its somewhat theraputic for me. After all, where are my thoughts and frustrations welcomed to be heard? Certainly not from my government officials and now it seems certainly not here. My President tells me to shut up and get out of the way and my Congressional representatives refer to me as an angry mob and here I am referred to as just a whinner. So much for political participation. Ooops, there I go, whinning again.
You know, its gonna be a loooong 4 years it seems.
Originally posted by FMFGood morning FMF🙂 I would respond to that but your labeling is not correct. If you want to be in the centre ( I mean center) of american politics you will have to bait someone else. Your use of the word credibility is amusing.
It wasn't in any way feisty.
It was straight down the line, meeting the side-issue that has cropped up square on.
And it seems you have neither the credibility nor the calibre to respond properly.

You can 'speak out'. Strangers hear you. And read your posts. But what is it you are saying? "My President tells me to shut up and get out of the way". What are you talking about? What thing is it inside your head that you are desperately trying to communicate? "My President tells me to shut up and get out of the way". This means what? It's not enough. Say what you mean. Say the words.
