Just as long as you know. You've stooped to the lowest of the low. And your holier than thou nonsense can now stop. Just helping out. That's all. We've got you pegged.

I repeat my request. Think what you want, but please don't address me disrespectfully.

As for what other people think, let them be the judge of that.

Carping about someone else's English on an international site, where all these foreigners, lucky for you, speak your language. Sheer class. Talk about respect!

Do you think that someone using inflammatory language such as "you all crapped yourselfs" might lead someone to overreact?

That is a serious and civil question and please answer me in kind, if it's all the same to you.

All right. Look. We obviously are from different parts of the World and have different perspectives. I said something on the America and Hatred thread that you took offense to. You ripped me mercilessly for what I said. I retaliated. You got under my skin and I appear to have gotten under yours. We, and everyone else on this board, sometimes say things in the heat of the moment that we don't really mean.

So, can we please bury the hatchet and try a fresh start? I do not come to RHP to make enemies. I don't mind if you debate me or criticize my ideas. But please, let's leave it at that- debating the ideas.

Can we at least agree to that?

We can agree that you tried to condescend a fellow poster on an international web site by questioning his English.

The only puffed up monolingual American who's done that here in recent weeks is Scriabin.

You got under my skin and I appear to have gotten under yours.

You haven't. Not in the slightest.

Living in Britain, I have noticed that amongst working-class brits, the english language is seriously mistreated, innit la?

Your argument needs no comeback.
The point still remains that NY'ers love to sensational everything.

The world does not revolve around NY and just get on with it, without all the drama

Who asked the "World" to get worked up about this? Who said anyone outside the US should even care? I don't think that you should "care" about this issue if you don't want to. My problem was you trivializing and mocking the fear that people must have felt with a 747 and an F-16 flying towards them. Your derision of NYers for what happened was unsolicited and offensive, IMHO. That was my only problem with what you said. This has nothing to do with whether the World-wide media should make a big deal over it or whether the World "revolves around NY" (whatever that means).
