Not buying it, vivify. You are talking about America's most important documents. we need security here.
We have these marvelous devices today called 'computers', vivify. you type in the name Donald Trump
and up comes a list of everything he has taken from the archives. Very simple.
@earl-of-trumps saidThat would be true if Trump legally took those documents. Clearly, he didn't.

@earl-of-trumps saidThat’s the job the DoJ is doing right now. Gathering up the evidence is only the beginning.
@vivify
That link is about legal ownership of official records; Trump is being investigated for illegal ownership.
prove it.
@jj-adams saidStop and bloody think for a minute, will you?
Read the link. His documents are his to do with as he pleases, and their legality is entirely his call..
You think it’s perfectly normal for an ex-politician to bring boxes and boxes of sensitive material to a golf course resort?
Really? That’s your argument? That it’s perfectly normal and legal?
So, say it’s a CIA officer who retires. It would be perfectly okay for him to take boxes of espionage material with him to the retirement swimming pool centre? Nothing untowards about it?
Seriously. You’re so far down some rabbit hole, you’ve started snorting plutonium reserves and your rationality has exited your arse in a puff of green, poisonous moronity.
@earl-of-trumps saidLol so you squeal like a stuck pig when they raid his house but if it looks like they have a case you want to blame the victim and law enforcement for not raiding his house quick enough.
Ok, that is good information to have. (tho, I do not yet considered it proven)
Now the next logical question comes up when we realize that Trump took those TOP SECRET documents with him
to Mar-a-Lago in Florida and the National archives did nothing for one year. And even then, they displayed a lack
of knowledge as to exactly what Trump had with him, in term ...[text shortened]... an still call Trump a criminal. for now. But aren't you a bit p!ssed at this National Archives org??
Trump issued a statement through his lawyers claiming that all classified documents had been returned when they received information that Trump lied, again, they gained a warrant and acted on it.
I guess if he does shoot someone on Main Street you’ll blame the victim for not wearing a bullet proof vest.
@mott-the-hoople saidYou misspelled thieves.
this is how the state media leads you...it is not up to nyt or aids to determine how a president handles records...going on 6 years now, and Trump still thrives.
You are too stupid to see you are sidung with the deep state.
To this point,
#1 It has not been shown HOW Trump took possession of those classified records. Amazing, isn't it?
#2 It has not been shown, if Trump stole documents, why the National Archives did not call for his arrest
in January and June when Trump and the NA were in obvious negotiations.
#3 It has not been shown what role Trumps lawyers played here, although at least one lawyer signed off
saying that Trump did not have any more classified documents.
But you people keep dreaming. Tell me how Donald drove up with a truck and STOLE "top secret" documents,
fool
@earl-of-trumps saidWhy didn't he give them back when they asked nicely?

On or about May 6, 2021, NARA [National Archives] made a request for missing PRA [Presidential Records Act] records and continued to make requests until approximately late December 2021 when NARA was informed twelve boxes were found and ready for retrieval at the PREMISES [Margo Largo]."

Your basic premise is one any accused criminal would love i.e. "the authorities didn't stop me from committing the crime so therefore they are to blame, not me." In addition, you seem to have a fanciful notion that the National Archives could somehow physically prevent the President of the United States from taking documents wherever he pleased. Maybe you could explain the mechanism they would have to do so.
@wildgrass saidTrump was fully cooperating
Why didn't he give them back when they asked nicely?
@no1marauder saidWhy are we believing the doj that has been caught perpetrating a hoax russia collusion, an fbi agent was caught changing an email to frame someone, the fbi has been caught covering up for hunter biden…the fbi has stated they have an “ insurance policy” to stop Trump.

Why should anyone believe anything these corrupt agencies say?
