Women who are of childbearing age already have the right to decide whether they want to procreate or not

so a 12 or 13 yr old is capable of making that decision on their own, right? Just tell me yes to that question and you can show how stupid you are to everyone else. You don't have to spin the issue like you have been, just tell me a 13 yr old has the "right" to make that decision independantly of their parents. no1 i don't think i've ever known anyone as obtuse as you.

I know the question is not directed at me, but here's my answer anyway.

I can condone abortion only when the child would certainly not be born alive otherwise and the life of the mother is at risk.

Make up your mind; before you were saying that the pregnant girl need only have her parents notified, now you are asserting that she has no right to make the decision to abort "independently" of her parents. Do you know what "independently" means? My comments are clear; have someone who's not an idiot explain them to you. And stay away from 11, 12 and 13 year old girls as your obession with them seems a bit creepy.

EDIT: If a young teenager can make the decision to have a child, then she can certainly make the decision to have an abortion. QED.

Why does the 13 year old have to speak to their parents? Surely they need to speak to someone with expert knowledge on the subject, like a family planning conscellor.

In most cases a parent cannot help the child.
