@averagejoe1 saidlol you are underestimating the intellect of swing voters again son, you lose
Yes, let him sink. Make him look as bad as we can. Get Trump in there. It is OK if he hangs on for about 10 more months, he could hardly cost us any more money, so, why not?
Do you think the dems aren’t going to mention the fact that the far right GOP house held the floodgates open at the border for Parian political reasons. At the very least every time the orangutan mentions the border Biden can spit right back at him.
Smart move by the dem senators and moderate Republican senators
@wildgrass saidWildgrass, you know my take. I agree, some republicans do NOT want the border fixed, But Donald Trump *does* want to fix it.
Republicans have no actual plan or intention of solving any border issues.
Republicans have said this openly. They don't plan to write, approve, amend or even discuss any bill until after the election because they don't want to help Biden by doing their job.
Many things caused an increase in migration. Any of those causes can be addressed by Republicans in congress.
They go on TV and call it a crisis, blame this, blame that, then they go home and take a nap.
And therein lies the rub.

@earl-of-trumps saidMaybe trump wants to fix. But he doesn't know how. Can't get it done. Waves his hands and screams like a toddler, nothing happens.

He was president for 4 years remember? Things at the border got worse.

@wildgrass saidRepublicans have had many opportunities over the last 35 years to pass sensible immigration legislation and failed to so, even when they controlled Congress.

@moonbus saidBut you see, all that aside, it is a new day today. Biden has the 'opportunity' to go into the Oval and stop it all. He alone. He can make a speech, that it is all Trunp's fault, and then....then, ...he picks up a pen and shuts it all down.

You gonna avoid this simple statement of AvJoe? Marauder surely has, and you do in fact stick together.

I'm not sure how anything in your post resembles a defense of the awful job that Republicans have done by failing over and over again on border security. They gab and gab on talk shows but they dont do anything. Trump? It's only partially his fault but he's the one who has been yapping about it for almost a decade now, was given a full 4 years to fix it, and failed miserably.
Now we give the geezer another shot? To fail twice?
@wildgrass saidI will give you another shot, a posting shot. You imply that I am defending the Republicans. No, I am extremely disappointed that they do not have tanks at the border, if you want to know the truth. TYhey could, they don't. One of the peculiar things in poliltics that get hammered out everyday while we sit in amazement.
It is a new day.

Then you mention the geezer (trump) for some reason. He is not there, slanthead. And we do not want to wait for him. I am writing in my post that today, Biden could pick up a pen and write one sentence to end the hell at the border. Could you respond to this sentence?? Should he , or shouldn't he? Follow his oath?
@moonbus saidThe Repubs have done nothing to right the illegal entries, the entries that the Dems have been orchestrating all these years. Either party could do it.
Republicans have had many opportunities over the last 35 years to pass sensible immigration legislation and failed to so, even when they controlled Congress.
I will rewrite your sentence, maybe that will help.
"Democrats have had many opportunities over the last 35 years to pass sensible immigration legislation and failed to do so, even when they controlled Congress!"
What in the hell, Moonbus?

@averagejoe1 saidDems don’t complain about the border though so they aren’t hypocrites like the Reps are

Do you think that the Democrats, through President Biden, could ask him to end the misery at the border? Tell him that damn Trump opened it, and that he should close it and be a hero. Right now he seems to be a hero to the aliens ....he could be a hero to his own citizens. Could you do that for us?
@averagejoe1 saidTell you what. You get the Republicans in Congress to provide the funding and I’ll make sure Biden does what he needs to do to block the border.
I'll make a note of that.

He failed. The whole GOP has failed. You describe a past that never existed. Meanwhile you also pretend that there isnt a border security bill sitting on Republican desks right now, they could pass today, that they refuse to vote on. They could fix it but wanna wait and see if the border gets worse so they can whine about it on cable news some more. Too scared to vote on. Thee authority to regulate immigration lies in Congress. They can fix it but won't.

@averagejoe1 saidYou just want to complain about government incompetence; it doesn't matter who's in office. I get that. So, what's your beef? You live in the world's show case democracy, where, for every lobby and interest group, there are at least two others opposed to it. That's just how pluralism works. Go live in N. Korea: you'll like how they have control over their southern border.

@wildgrass saidIf you really think that Trump failed, and that he is the cause of the border and of inflation and of American-Africans going unpunished for crime, then you need to vote your conscience.

I think exactly opposite, that it is the Biden handlers who are responsible, whoever they are (he does not know what is going on).
So there you have it. Lines in the sand for wGrass and me. The little feller is saying that Biden cannot use a pen and stop this shyte, and that, he has to get congressional approval, he is lying. If the cretin can make us pay student loans, and can make us open our borders (he is cutting the barbwire), he can certainly stop illegal aliens. ....with, as Obama once said, a 'phone and a pen'.
I cannot believe how weak you faeries are. What do you want in the end, anyway?
