No one follows your logic, BoySue, because none of you have EVER faulted Biden for anything. Since no one performs 100%, then you are misrepresenting the facts, and, you cannot be believed. A diluted situation for you. Uphill battle to garner your readers back.
Your given is in error, and so is your argument.

No argument, though. Did I argue by stating this fact? You need a nap, too.

You say ‘bad news’ as if it is a fact. The thing they are asked to vote on will be a losing proposition in the long run.
So, good news, not bad. I sent something a few clicks back. Are y’all not hearing the news.

You say "in the long run" as if it is a fact.

Did the old guy in makeup on the squack box tell you to write that? It's a bipartisan bill that will make things a lot lot better. Trump is lobbying to kill the bill because sealing off the border would hurt his campaign. Biden has promised to shut it down, if given authority.

In the long run, Trump can come in and lobby congress for a new bill. For the next year, let's do this one. The border is a mess. Let's fix it.

It's actually a bad bill which, by making the granting of asylum more difficult, will cause economic damage to the nation.

Biden is willing to accept it for political expediency, but he's probably even happier the House Republicans have rejected it for the same reason.

EDIT: Actually there is no bill anyway; just some leaked possible negotiations.

It seems from what I read that it will be capped, which is a good thing. Venezuela has 29 million people living there.

You think everyone in Venezuela is going to uproot themselves and their family and make a perilous trip of thousands of miles to apply for asylum in the US?

Just because you argue with Average Joe doesn't mean you have to "think" like him.

Here's what Human Rights Watch had to say about the leaked proposals (made apparently to placate right wingers sufficiently to get them to agree to send $100 billion in military aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan):

"As part of the negotiations of the 2024 United States federal budget, President Joseph R. Biden and members of the US Congress are considering changes to US immigration policy that could effectively end the right to seek asylum on US territory, expose thousands of mostly Latin American asylum seekers to abuses, and contravene international human rights standards."

"The Biden administration has reportedly agreed to support the creation of a new rule that would allow the US government to temporarily close the US-Mexico border and expel all asylum seekers without hearing their claims, similar to the Title 42 expulsion policy, under which hundreds of thousands of people were expelled to Mexico.[3] A new policy of expelling migrants to Mexico could only be implemented if the Mexican government were to agree to receive the expelled people.

US legislators have also proposed restrictions that would effectively put an end to the US humanitarian parole program for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans, which was created after negotiations between the US and Mexico, in response to “Mexico’s requests to expand labor and humanitarian mobility mechanisms in the region.”"

"The proposals being considered in the United States could have devastating consequences for the rights of migrants and asylum seekers if implemented, undermining the right to seek asylum and exposing thousands of people to serious danger."

Is doing that to people doing nothing more than seeking a better life for themselves and their families worth, in part, sending billions so Israel can keep killing children in Gaza? It's moot since right wingers have no intention of reaching any agreement on immigration for reasons Trump already spelled out, but it's troubling that this administration would go so far to spite our own face (given the economic advantages of increased immigration) just for political expediency.

We are all for people seeking a better life, but , now get this Maruader, the Marauder who is a communist in a capitalist country and wants to change laws and defy the constitution.........................
Get this....as they seek a better life, we want them to do it legally. Do you break laws as part of Your routine? Boy i wish I could, I would like to steal some stuff, like you libs do. Break laws.
Require them to seek a better life legally. YOu will have actually a ZERO response to my saying this, just like when I asked you above if Biden should close the border or not. You did not answer that one either. No, you just pontificate. You are really building your reader base.

Yes, I think the Venezualans would do that, for free stuff, and knowing that 'aassssyyyyyyyylllum' is just a word, they don't have to do crap to get in here. "Let me see, OK , come on in, and come back in 2032 for your asylum hearing"

You are clearly a pollyanna in wordsmith clothing.

How many times does it have to be explained to an idiot like yourself?

People who cross the border, even those who don't do so at approved points of entry, can LEGALLY apply for asylum. Get that through your thick head; that's the LAW:

"To obtain asylum through the affirmative asylum process you must be physically present in the United States. You may apply for asylum regardless of how you arrived in the United States or your current immigration status." https://www.uscis.gov/humanitarian/refugees-and-asylum/asylum/obtaining-asylum-in-the-united-states

Of course, Biden shouldn't "close the border" you moron:

"An actual border closure could slow or halt trade flows between the two countries, affecting more than one million U.S. jobs and we estimate could cost Americans as much as $130 billion a year, or nearly 350 million dollars per day."

Your avoidance of the real issue is noted, and your ad hominem is also noted. Your little followers are clapping. To 'close' the border means in daily nomenclature to control it like it always was before Biden. B iden had both houses in 2020 and 2022 and failed to close it.
All daily conversation among the news agencies and politicians speak of 'closing' the border, using that phrase. I am so impressed with your knowing about trade between the countries, that to wall up the border would not be a good idea.Sometimes I wonder if you ever have fun, Marauder. I seriously doubt it.
