And you are lying.

I submit that nearly everyone who makes less than you works harder than you. Have you ever picked up a shovel in your life? Have you driven a big rig across America? Have you ever laid a ceramic tile garage floor? These are the people who work hard. What do you do for a living? Push around paper all day? I daresay you do NOT work harder than thes ...[text shortened]... than you.
Does that make you the parasite? Yes, yes it does. So get the F off your high horse.
But don’t you see, you are writing about me and maybe a ditch digger. You can avoid the issue all you want, but the decision stands, stare decisis. …… it is a fact, that you will ignore in your rants, that some people work harder than others. Take me out of the discussion, you ad hominem person, you! Now, if James works harder than Ralph, would you not expect that he should be paid more money than Ralph? Of course, he should. The problem with you socialists, and that certainly includes you, is that Kamala and socialist like you, believe that, “at the end of the day, everyone should end up in the same place”. Are you following me here? If That actually happened, the man who works the least gets to share equally in the production of that day. Ralph would get the same amount of pay as James would. Yet James worked harder than he did.
Suzianne is obtuse.

Everyone, please leave Space open on this thread, so that Suzanne may respond like a grown-up and see that I am correct. I guess I am going to win another point on the forum.

Why don't you actually look up what is going on? Trump told Johnson to kill it so being a nice pet sycophant, he is killing it.
But OF COURSE Trump could NEVER be at fault for anything can it? Johnson admitted that bit on TV but of course you won't find that on OAN or Newsmax.
You are being deliberately obtuse.
Your hatred shines through.
When the Senat ...[text shortened]... , that is BIDEN'S fault?
What fukking planet do you come from anyway? It sure as HELL isn't Earth.
Sonhouse facetiously says here that Trump can never be at fault for anything. Sonhouse, tell your audience anything that you have ever said where you state that Biden is at fault for something. I think I am just gonna win this one too.

Did Sunhouse just say that my hatred shines through? Should I counter about him with his hatred that shines through on Trump? Y’all are really diluting the forum.

And yet you would never abide this in the real world.

Because you would be paid some of the least.

" I would be in the same line with a guy who did not work as hard as me, but gets the same bowl of soup that I do".
Ayn Rand and I have a real problem with that, yet you would consider it nirvanna.
If he paid for the same bowl he should get the same bowl whether or not you think you work harder than he does.

Supporting equal opportunity. Yeah, we all think that. Whew.
But you wrote this a few pages back, all I did was say that you are totally incorrect, we are not all equal. In this post, you write about 'equal opportunituy', which is not what you wrote before. If it makes me dizzy, imagine what it does to Kev, et al
You wrote..."Your bigoted idea that some people ...[text shortened]... ens will not be left behind....teach them english as she goes, slow down as much as necessary. Ouch.
I work in a school where parents pay a lot of money to send their kids to where instruction is in a foreign language. Many of these students from wealthy families don’t speak English.

Turkey, I speak of govt soup lines. Marauder can enlighten you that in his (and your ) world, the masses (including me and an illegal unknown immigrant), all of the ‘people’ (individuality would be unknown) would share everything, like soup, equally.
Get with it, Thousand. One would not pay for the soup. Anyway, money would be unnecessary. Cubans have no money, all happy!

Well how bout this irrelevant statement Thousand? Just pitiful. And, Do you see where Marauder is skipping around my issue hereinabove?
Why can he not respond directly to my plain comments? It’s ok if you don’t, I’m not much phased, but what is marauder’s focus?

That highly relevant statement was in reply to your statement:

If your 8 year old was surrounded in class by little alliens who do not speak english, in a class which is there to prepare your child to move up to the next class by learning what the curriculum is in the present class, would you be cool with that?

Yes, I would be just fine with it. Many people pay a lot of money in order to put their children in such an environment.

It's not my fault you have the conversational memory and reading comprehension of a goldfish.

Here's the reported deal:

Mandatory detention of all single adults.

- Mandatory “shut down” of border once average daily migrant encounters hits 5,000. Importantly, this 5,000 number includes 1,400 CBP One app entries at ports of entry per day, and roughly 3,600 illegal crossings per day.

- How is that enforced? Once the 5,000 threshold is hit, a new author ...[text shortened]... k to dealing with Texas' rebellion against the authority of the US government if he has the will to.
You have made some well thought out posts here, arguing that this law would impose some of the strictest border policies that the country has seen in a long time. One can argue that the shut down past a certain number is just a practical measure. We don't have the capacity to deal with that many people at once. Obviously there are many ways that could be dealt with, this is one of them, but doing nothing as you suggest is not a better solution.

Why don't Republicans want to vote for, or even talk about, the most conservative border bill in a century? They've been yammering for a long time about it, now they get every single thing they want and they ignore it?

Why?

Here's what Human Rights Watch had to say about the leaked proposals (made apparently to placate right wingers sufficiently to get them to agree to send $100 billion in military aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan):

"As part of the negotiations of the 2024 United States federal budget, President Joseph R. Biden and members of the US Congress are considering changes to US ...[text shortened]... our own face (given the economic advantages of increased immigration) just for political expediency.
your bolded point... "expose thousands of mostly Latin American asylum seekers to abuses..."

Please expand on that point, if you can. Are they not exposed to abuse already in the false hope from coyotes that they can sneak into the country illegally? It seems like a bit of a stretch to say that closing the US-Mexico border to illegal migration is abuse. We have asylum laws, but illegal immigrants are ignoring it by crossing illegally.

That'd be the $100 billion dollars for foreign countries that's attached to it. Don't forget the ten percent.
