You stated, in this very thread:

I'm waiting for the day that Roe versus Wade will be overthrown by the Supreme Court.

Roe v. Wade invalidated a Texas criminal statute that made it a crime to have or perform an abortion. The penalty was 5 years in prison. The Supreme Court declared all such criminal laws an unconstitutiona ...[text shortened]... ion or are being dishonest. Which is it, Ivanhoe? In no case am I lying, blatantly or otherwise.

well said and Roe v Wade is in mortal danger thats for sure.
What we need is a constitutional amendment so we won't have to
worry about some bible belt thumper overturning it.
So, please don't accept the blatant lie that only "religious nutcases and religious bigots" can be pro-Life.

It is a lie we can detect over and over again in the abortion debate. It is a deceiving technique deliberately used by advocates of abortion to mislead and manipulate the people [Implicite message, in fact a threat: "If you are Pro-Life, you must be one of those irrational religious bigots"].

...... or, of course, a "Bible belt thumper".

Well thats one good thing, people actually using their own minds
to come to a conclusion, ritht or wrong. What about my next
concern? Overpopulation. Seems to me if a few billion people die
in a drought that would show the prolifers something fundamental
is wrong with their philosophy. The planet can only support so many
people and if we go over that, ...[text shortened]... t up? What about a fetus threatening the mothers
life? let the mother die, just SAVE THAT BABY?

I don't understand. What is the fundamental thing you are talking about that is wrong with the "pro Life philosophy" which is shown by that drought you are mentioning ?

How many of your promiscuous friends were infected by the HIV virus ?
Hi Ivanhoe, sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

I've had two HIV tests both clear. I don't know anyone with HIV. As I said in previous posts I enjoyed safe sex, although I may of occaisionally taken a risk.

I knew most of my partners reasonably well (at least an hour) before sleeping with them. Hetrosexual sex with middle class non drug user is fairly low risk.

How so, Sweetmeat? You want to overturn Roe v. Wade; Roe v. Wade disallows criminal laws against abortion; therefore, you support criminal laws against abortion. Criminal laws against abortion provided for, and would provide for again in certain states, fairly lengthy prison terms. So therefore, you must either A) Support putting women in prison for having an abortion; or B) Not understand the practical effect of overturning Roe v. Wade (which I have been generous enough to explain to you). Which is it, Chuckles?

Have you become like STANG? Do you think posting the same thing over and over again will make it true? I've shown pretty clearly that you either don't understand the practical effect of overturning Roe v. Wade or that you do and think that women should go to prison for having abortions (as they certainly would if Roe v. Wade is overturned). Now, are you just going to hold your breath till ya turn blue like a petulant 4 year old or are you going to actually debate something in the Debates Forum?
