Yeah at 150 yards the sound would be greatly diminished, I've seen people claim it was a 5.56, 7.62, who knows? They do make them in 9mm, but 150 yards is a stretch for a pistol cartridge due to velocity loss.

OMG the 9mm Luger round fires a 125 grain bullet at 1100-1200 fps. It is a pipsqueak pistol cartridge compared to the 5.56 or 7.62 rifle cartridges. .

The 5.56 is over 1200 ft/lbs, 7.62 is over 2500.
