I see I hit a nerve with the resident liberal scum here.

How long are y’all going to keep falling for their lies?

Trump's lawyers and advisors said they have been cooperating fully with whatever the government inspectors wanted, they have inspected the site several times and taken away many boxes of records All they had to do was ask. They were never denied any access to whatever materials they were looking for.
Just before the Nov elections all over America, how convenient for the Democrats!

Trump's lawyers and advisors are lying through their teeth if they are saying that.

A subpoena was served on him in June to return any classified documents still on Margo Largo, but it's now obvious he didn't fully comply as boxes of such documents were seized pursuant to the search warrant.

Someday the truth will set you free:

"The subpoena in June required Trump to turn over any classified documents, giving credence to the possibility that authorities were not yet aware of the 12 boxes taken from Trump’s residence earlier this week.

“National security docs were seized from Mar-a-Lago back in June,” Sunlight Reports’s Don Lewis noted in a tweet. “So looks like this week’s raid seized docs that were hidden in June.”"

Do you have a quote or reference for that? It doesn't seem to be the case. The documentation suggests the subpoena for documents was issued months ago and not complied with, forcing the raid.

Given that 11 boxes of classified documents were retrieved, the lawyer's story doesn't make sense. Why would the raid be necessary if there was full cooperation? Unless the lawyer is suggesting that the raid was just for show, I guess.

Or something? Doesn't add up.

@JJ-Adams
Tell that to the FBI and DOJ, they have been in talks with those lawyers about the stuff they just took for MONTHS but you won't find THAT on Faux news or Newsmax.
That is why they went straight to a warrant, they didn't want advance notice of a subpoena which would have given Trump and his boys time to dump the stuff down the sewer or whatever, make the stuff disappear. There were 26 or so boxes and the original swap was only the 15 talked about and ATT the feds thought that was all of it but a whistleblower alerted FBI there was more stuff and PAST TOP SECRET level stuff in there which is why they got a judge A TRUMP appointed judge BTW, to sign off on the evidence of a crime and that is how they got the last batch out, they spent most of a day going through every room that was not a private occupied room, so they went to the basement, other stores and the infamous safe.
They took among other documents, four BOXES of top secret and TS/SCI level which is NEVER supposed to leave the vault it is kept in.
Those docs recovered were COPIES, that implicates someone who helped Trump get them, those SCI level docs are only given under lock and key, POTUS goes to shif room, they unlock the doc, he reads it and it goes back under lock and key and back to the vault. So there was MAJOR spying going on there.

Anyone who poo poo's the facts are either part of the coverup or totally hypnotized by Trump.

In Right Wing World, the raid is a desperate attempt by the Deep State to stop the overwhelmingly popular Trump from running for President again, but it will fail as an outraged public will carry Trump into the White House on their shoulders (like the last scene in Rudy) rendering an actual election completely unnecessary.

The story makes no sense, in right or left wing world.

Obviously, the idea that FBI agents planted classified documents at Mar a Lago, that apparently Trump also somehow declassified, as part of some elaborate scheme to prevent his candidacy for President is absurd.

But also the idea that he would brazenly maintain possession of secure documents he knew was illegal (based on subpoenas months' prior) for purposes of espionage is equally absurd. How easy would it have been to secure them elsewhere, ship them to Russia years ago, digitally copy them to a secure server, or otherwise shield himself from liability if he really wanted to sell state secrets?

Neither story makes sense.

Kind of funny to juxtapose this video of Ron DeSantis defending a state-sanctioned raid of a fired state employee against the absurd conservative outrage regarding the Mar a Lago raid.

Come on guys. Do you like enforcement or not? Let's not pick and choose whether law enforcement is "the greatest thing ever" or "corrupt to the core" depending on who allegedly broke the law.

It's speculation, but Trump may well have thought the safest place to maintain them was Margo Largo and he may not have believed that the DOJ would ever dare search it.

one of Trump's lawyers signed off on doc saying that Trump did not have possession of sought documents, yes.

If a lawyer said it, it must be true!
