Read the "Declaration of Independence" thread. In it, Mott made clear he doesn't understand the Founders' and Framers' political philosophy.
Mott is stupid though; I'm assuming those who get to the SCOTUS aren't as stupid as Mott - certainly they should have been exposed to the relevant history and philosophy if they graduated from law school.

Amendments correct for changes because we are 200 years beyond the original but hey, any change is no good for you. You would own slaves if it was still legal.
Hand grenades were not around 200 years ago and so not in the constitution so should an 18 yo be able to buy those too?

The US has the highest prison population in the world.

BTW, those rightwingers on SCOTUS are just beginning their drive to kill the idea of separation of church and state.
80% and more cases involving CHRISTIAN religions are voted yes by those basturds, but notice not Hindu, not Jewish, not Islam, ONLY Christian suites are voted YES.
They are such flaming hypocrites, in their confirmation hearings there was not a HINT of any religious bias but now it is out in the open.
They don't want to go back to 1950, they want to go back to EIGHTEEN FIFTY.
The dark days have already started in the US.
One nice note though, one abortion doctor is making a FLOATING abortion clinic, safely out in international waters where no fukking state laws can stop them.
