The were both Libertarians at heart. The only reason we did not possibly see a full revolution and got the Claytons economic rationalist version instead was because both were consumate politicians well versed in the art of pragmatism. They did enough damage though.

As to having an idea of what Libertarianism is, I'll say one thing, its not just what you define it to be. ....plod.

Ugh, it took a little needling but there it is, the essence of control freakism, the "ordinary bloke" cannot manage his own life. This is why the extraordinary that is the great Kmax will manage it for them. His qualifications? He spent some time in a design office trying to convince the team to increase the number of parts and increase production costs.

The Great Kmax "You cannot be trusted with your own life.

Ordinary Bloke "bbbbut if I don't know what's good for me, who does?"

TGK "I, the great kmax will decide."

OB "Is their anyone capable of deciding for themselves"

TGK "Yes, I will allow Wajoma to make some choices for himself."

(Nah, I don't believe it either.)

Can you tell us Reagans views on abortion, gay marriage, euthanasia, stem cell research and drugs. Then after that, look me in the eye and say he was a libertarian at heart.

You don't get political expediency and pragmatism do you? Or the notion that in the cesspool that is politics, people will subscribe to whatever they have to in order to change what they can ?

Thanks for the title, it does empower me! Finally recognition at last. TGK. Has a ring to it!
