@sonhouse saidWhat is wrong with Ukraine becoming neutral to avoid a lot of killing?
@Metal-Brain
What is wrong with your brain? Do you seriously think a Russian asset like you will EVER make intellectual inroads into my love of the US and the love of our planet Earth?
You should really back off the Russian platitudes and you can really admit you are a Russian asset, we won't hold it against you.
Do you have something against peace?
Since you are evading the question you must want people to die in an unnecessary proxy war so you can get revenge on Russia for things you don't even know are true. You are clearly against peace.

@Metal-Brain
Just what the FUK do you think you are doing? Putin would NEVER listen to an announcement of neutrality and you know that full well.
You are just pushing more BS to try to distract the narrative from the murderous war crimes going on as we speak in Ukraine.
There is NOTHING you can say to convince us otherwise, since we SEE the bombings on TV.
Sorry TRAITOR, give the upraised arm salute to your gods Trump and Putin.

Putin had talks with Ukraine and he has demands to end the war. One of them is no NATO membership for Ukraine. That seems reasonable to me. What about that Ukaine biolab that they denied existed? Is only the west allowed to claim there are WMDs in the country they are invading?

@metal-brain saidYou cannot, genuinely cannot, be this stupid. You are merely pretending to be this stupid.
Nobody can prove I said
13 Mar 22
@metal-brain saidWhat's wrong is that that is a pipe dream. Ukraine rolling over and giving in to Putin will only lead to more, not less, murder. As you well know.
What is wrong with Ukraine becoming neutral to avoid a lot of killing?
13 Mar 22
@metal-brain saidWar, your paymaster Putin's war, is reality. Standing up to your murder is the only answer. The alternative is merely more murder.
So war is the only answer?
14 Mar 22
@shallow-blue saidThat applies to the USA. We didn't stop with Afghanistan which lead to Iraq. That lead to invading Libya, more and more murder. So basically you are saying nobody stops at one invasion and Putin is unremarkable in that respect. Nobody stops after the first invasion. Right?
What's wrong is that that is a pipe dream. Ukraine rolling over and giving in to Putin will only lead to more, not less, murder. As you well know.
14 Mar 22
@shallow-blue saidSo your failure to stand up to the USA's murder is why that lead to more murder with subsequent invasions. Don't you feel guilty you didn't have the resolve to passionately object to multiple invasions after Afghanistan?
War, your paymaster Putin's war, is reality. Standing up to your murder is the only answer. The alternative is merely more murder.
Did you object that strongly to the invasions of Iraq and Libya?
14 Mar 22
@metal-brain saidNATO invaded Afghanistan because a member state was attacked by Afghanistan, NATO did not invade Libya it simply enforced a no fly zone on gadaffi and his own people did the rest.

Tell me when did Ukraine attack Russia Tell me when NATO attacked Russia. Even now it’s bending over backwards to not attack Russia but it will not have a choice once Putin gets to the Polish border. Putin has made his plan crystal clear and that is to reimpose Russian dominance over Eastern and Central Europe.
Stop lying and stop being stupid

"Simply enforcing a no-fly zone" is going to war against a country. In this case, the object was regime change, certainly an aggressive aim.
Your hysterical comments are filled with outright falsehoods and your belief in them seems to be fueling your policy preference of all-out war with Russia.

It is correct. And it is the reason why there is no "no-fly-zone" over Ukaraina, since it would mean shooting down Russian planes, which is an act of war.
@ponderable saidIt seems a lot of Americans are as misinformed as Mott on this:

"Some 74% of Americans - including solid majorities of Republicans and Democrats - said the United States and its allies in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization should impose a no-fly zone in Ukraine, the poll found."
https://www.reuters.com/world/us/exclusive-americans-broadly-support-ukraine-no-fly-zone-russia-oil-ban-poll-2022-03-04/
But:
"Poll after poll makes it clear: Americans don’t want to go to war with Russia over Ukraine. In an Ipsos/Reuters poll from March 3-4, adults opposed sending troops to Ukraine, 61 percent to 39 percent. In a YouGov/CBS News poll from Feb. 24-28, Americans opposed sending U.S. troops to defend Ukraine, 71 percent to 29 percent. In a YouGov/The Economist poll from Feb. 26-March 1, they thought sending soldiers to Ukraine to fight Russian soldiers was a bad idea, 54 percent to 19 percent. And a Feb. 25-27 poll from Data for Progress found that likely voters opposed taking military action against Russia in response to the invasion of Ukraine, 64 percent to 23 percent."

I guess many Americans think that Russia would honor a NATO imposed "no fly zone" over Ukraine. Needless to say, that is most unlikely.

@no1marauder said74% of Americans are letting their emotions dominate their thinking. Propaganda is designed to do that. If you can manipulate their emotions you can manipulate their opinions easily. Propaganda 101

Your the hysterical one here, demanding the dismantling of nato in the face of murderous aggression from the very source that nato was formed to defend us against.
It must seem quite abstract from the eastern seaboard of the US. Just some euro trash killing other euro trash and you’ve got your precious mud terms coming up huh.
It probably is more serious and dramatic for us Europeans. With or without you we will confront Putin and his expansionist policies, we don’t really have a choice.
