@sonhouse saidThe way I see it,
If they get their way there will BE no more democracy in the US and those right wing traitors want EXACTLY that.
Look at Jim Jordan, hemming and hawing about what phone calls he had with Trump on Jan 6 last year, it was clear he KNEW he was in deep legal trouble and could in fact find himself in jail as a traitor and that is just the tip of the iceberg of traitors in the re ...[text shortened]... e senate and house again so they can codify the destruction of democracy right in front of our eyes.
People that seek power do not much care who they align with, it is not relevant. It is simply a path to power. But,
The power the Dems seek is "Overt", that is bigger bureaucracy. i.e Power to bureaucrats. They are clear about this, all part of the "common" good mantra.
The republicans on the other hand believe in individual responsibilities, and while people are busy looking after themselves, they can leave government alone, as it leaves them alone. Both sides are open to corruption but by default smaller Government = smaller, or maybe just more concentrated corruption.

@jimmac saidYou are right about democrats seeking power overtly. But the opposition of overt is covert.

Republican leadership does not shrink government. There's no evidence of that. They just say it does.

Democrats support censorship, so it is actually the democrats that want to end democracy. Democrats are being manipulated into ending democracy.
There is no democracy without freedom of speech. Democrats need constant reminding of that. They think censorship will preserve democracy. The poison is the cure as far as they are concerned.

@techsouth saidNo mob had ever broken into the Capitol of the United States with the express purpose of disrupting the Constitutionally mandated counting of the Electoral College votes before. It is perfectly proper for the Congress to investigate individuals who may have planned and/or aided this attempt.
No two situations are ever identical. But one thing we can always be sure of is that leftist always pick some difference and assert that is the key that makes the people on the left good, moral, and innocent and the people on the right bad, evil, and guilty.
Personally, I find it a useful exercise to find similar cases where roles are reversed and consider whether or n ...[text shortened]... eople and the Republicans have only engaged in witch-hunts for their own greed and thirst for power.
The differences I pointed out are hardly trivial as you are pretending them to be.

A delay? That is the bogeyman that has dems convinced they have to support censorship?
They let the mob break in. Then they started shooting without warning. Killed an unarmed woman.
Just like the Whitmer kidnapping plot the FBI knew all about it before hand.
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/fbi-informants-bigger-role-whitmer-kidnap-plot
The FBI knew the capitol building was going to be flooded with protesters. Trump overtly called for the protest. The only way they could not know it was going to happen is if they put their fingers in their ears and hummed.
@metal-brain saidThe mob fought there way in injuring well over 100 police officers. https://www.police1.com/officer-safety/articles/police-union-over-140-officers-injured-in-capitol-siege-NSi5xcpt1sIELYvJ/

They wanted to kill or kidnap members of Congress and Vice President Pence.
The "unarmed woman" was part of a group of hundreds attempting to break into a barricaded room where members of Congress were huddling in fear. She was repeatedly warned and disregarded said warnings. Her shooting was legally justified. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/officer-who-shot-ashli-babbitt-during-capitol-riot-breaks-silence-n1277736
You are misinformed or outright lying.
EDIT: You can hear a large crowd of rioters chanting "Hang Mike Pence" at about 25:00 here. &t=1475s
@jimm619 saidCensorship of the POTUS as well as a lot of other censorship. Twitter is censoring the truth about the gene vaccines. They do not stop the spread.
What cencorship?

Then after the censored Trump he didn't even try to be heard on another social media platform. Trump is a slug helping the establishment destroy what little is left of democracy here. He and Biden should both be stoned to death.
@metal-brain saidTwitter is a private company that can regulate content on their site however they wish (just like RHP for example).

@metal-brain saidHow ironic to complain about "censorship" and then want the government to regulate what content private companies allow on their own sites!

@no1marauder saidBy not shooting anybody until after they got in.
That's a lie.
How did 140 police officers get injured?
Do you really think the parasitic elites care about 140 police officers they don't know?
