The economy chugs along on the output of corporations. The corps do not 'work in' the stock market into their business model. The market is a place where people buy shares of the corporations which are the foundation of a large percentage of our economy.
Secondly, the donut shop and the deli have Absolutley Nothing to do with the stock market. The market is of course a bellwether, an indicator of trends. An indicator of trends of the economy, Sonhouse. If 100 coporations go under, go out of business it is THEIR fault, not that of the place where people exchange shares.....called the stock market. It is a group of brokers who might not know ANYthing aboout businjess, or have any effect on it. Whew. I am a kindergarten teacher. Sit next to Suzianne.
