@divegeester saidWhy? Because she somehow thinks better of you than anyone else does?
Take it to Torunn spanky
@divegeester saidIt's not the dissent but the endless harping, endless postings concentrating on what is named as a "trifle", which shows how important you see this.
And yet several of the supposed “adults” here are vocal advocates of it. And two of them, Ponderable and moonbus, regularly try to close down any dissent against the feature.
I wonder why that is…
I personnally don't need thumbs and rarely give them, and often make the use public, so you know what I did and often even why. But you harp on and on and on and on ...and thumby yet, did people forma band to thumb? Is it the thumbing down or the thumbing up, which is the problem?
And if you brought forward any new argument at least I would hera you and try to think about it and form an opinion, but it the arguments are:
* Thumbs are childich (so why don't you come over it?)
* Thumbs are anonymous, and thus people will gang up (FMF gave a convincing example, I assume they dit alert authrities, and accounts were banned, so what is the problem)
From this post I assume you would endless follow and harrass people who would have given you a red thumb (I might be one of them, even if I don't use the feature regularly I might have). So my position remains: Do away with thumbs if you must, but there have been endless discussions and it won't, but if you keep the feature keep it anonymous. And Russ would have had ample time and ample discussions on that if he wanted to do something about it.
@ponderable saidIn the end, Ponderable, you don't stand for anything, really, do you? You've spent years running pass interference for some of the forum's most malicious trash. You'll be remembered as someone who's always seeking the line of least resistance AND being rather sanctimonious about it. Just my ha'penny's worth. No offence intended.

@ponderable saidJust get rid of it if it's an infantile blight on the site. Ignoring it doesn’t get rid of it.

@fmf saidI stand for some things. And it is your right to have any oinion of me.

I assmue "most malicious trash" refers to anybody not being of your opinion?
@kevin-eleven saidAnd your constant cycle of meltdowns, name calling and apologizes. Where would that rank in a RHP review?
What you bring to the forums should be highlighted by anyone who bothers to post a review for RHP.
Me thinks there's an element of the pot and the kettle here.
@ponderable saidDon't be a silly billy. I relish disagreement. I like people who have different opinions. Nice try. I meant what I said. Thanks for your attempt to deflect. Your reference to "anybody" who... There's a logical fallacy in there, methinks. It it is robbie carrobie-esque.

@fmf saidDive asked for an example of your toxic posting. You provided a good one.

(I think offense was very much intended).
@ghost-of-a-duke saidI just disagree with him, that's all. I'm just unimpressed by him. If your banter includes the word "toxic" because you disagree with me, then "toxic" means nothing.

@kevin-eleven saidDo I? I may feel differently of him because of our early times in the Friends of Cash club forum, where we were members together with many other nice people. Maybe that has something to do with it.

@torunn saidDon't allow yourself to be manipulated and bullied by Kevin Eleven. He is one of the most malicious trolls this forum has ever seen. He talks about people's wives and children. Vicious stuff. Don't be drawn in.

@yo-its-me saidI hope you managed to sort it out.
It's hot with drama in here!
I've had a very dramatic day at work today.
