@fmf saidYou asked 'who does it leave?' within the context of Ghost and me saying we hadn't been red thumbing or alerting. Answer, it leaves everybody else in the whole community as your possible suspect.
If it's "the whole community ", in your telling of it, why is it only 3-4 thumbs? What is your theory? How many thumbs do you need to make your theory work.
So,
Q Who does it leave?
A The whole community.
🙄
@relentless-red saidSo how many do you think it cuts it down to?

There are only so many regular posters who post in the General Forum.
I would say 20-25 at best. Do you see it differently?
As an example there are many posters in Debates and Spirituality forums you never see in the GF, they would be part of the community as you put it.

@very-rusty saidPlease stop alerting threads. It causes division.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidLOL@ goad, do you really think what you tell me matters in any way?
Please stop alerting threads. It causes division.
Probably looking for a few thumbs up for yourself are you? 😛 🙂
How many times must I tell you simply alerting a thread doesn't matter. If it is removed it probably shouldn't have been there to start with.
-VR
@very-rusty saidBut why alert it? What compelled you in this instance? Spite? Pettiness? Mischief?

@very-rusty saidSince Box 39 is community radio and therefore, non-profit, it isn’t advertising; it’s promotion. There’s a difference. Whoever alerted the thread does not understand what that means, apparently.
It may have to do with advertising which is not allowed?
-VR
Everybody here promotes themselves, either for their creativity or their inanity. It occurs in obscure ways; by adding an avatar, participating in a forum, or playing a game of chess.
The thumbs up or down are lazy and cowardly means of approval or disapproval. The alerts and subsequent removal of threads without investigation are ineffective moderating, in my opinion.
@hakima saidObviously it wasn't to be shown on this site or it wouldn't have been removed, right?

Do you think throwing a few insults will help anything? Probably just promote the actions, having an opposite affect of what you are trying to do.
BTW hakima, I was one of the posters who voted to show who had alerted a post, like you I think it is cowardly thing to do, which many seem to have wanted! 🙂 We are on the same page there!
Go enjoy the site! 😉

@ghost-of-a-duke saidWhy was it removed goad? It wasn't me who removed it, keep that in mind.
But why alert it?
You ask many questions but answer few, so don't expect any of yours answered.
It also had more than one alert. I believe you can only alert once can't you?
-VR
@very-rusty saidObviously not. Apparently it was poor moderation (which, by the way, isn’t an insult, it’s an assessment) because the second one is still here.

What insults? Who is insulted? You?
As for enjoying “the site”, I always do—the chess site and the radio show-particularly because I contribute to both, as I see fit; with or without approbation.
@hakima saidCall it what you want calling it poor Moderation is an insult to the Moderator who removed it.

Who hasn't insulted me would have been a much easier question to answer hakima. 😉
Then go enjoy the site, you seem to be trying to win some point here to me! 🙂
I don't control what the Moderators do I don't always agree with them. I've never called it (Poor Moderation) as you've done. Hard to back peddle after you've said something.
In your owns words hakima: The alerts and subsequent removal of threads without investigation are ineffective moderating, in my opinion.

@very-rusty saidAn assessment isn’t an insult. If it were, one could argue that you insult others every time you post, Mr. Rusty.

@very-rusty saidThere's no one who can antagonize RHP's nicest members more desperately than Rusty.
@hakima
What you said here is an insult to what ever Moderator removed it.
"The alerts and subsequent removal of threads without investigation are ineffective moderating, in my opinion".
If you feel any of my posts are insults then alert them hakima.

Take him with a whole box of salt: Preferably, rock- salt.
@wolfe63 saidWell, You might think wolfy they would have sense enough not to come after me.

I never back down and not about to start now.
BTW: She come after me!!! 😛 🙂 You all seem to have tunnel vision at times.
Your child like insults will get you no where not even an alert.....LOL....~!~~

@very-rusty saidAlerted posts get removed in error all the time. The issue here isn’t why it was removed, it is who alerted it and what were their motivations.

It appears it was you who alerted it, and it’s quite clear what your motivations were.
