Alerted posts get removed in error all the time. The issue here isn’t why it was removed, it is who alerted it and what were their motivations.

I hadn't noticed!

I wasn't paying much attention!

I did see a few posts get alerted a few times in another thread. 😉

Someone’s been a prick though, and I DON’T mean the moderator who removed it (also just to be clear), probably for no other reason than them not having the time or inclination to check it out. And why should they.

Because they should be sure something warrants removal before removing it?

If you did alert the post then just own it; stand behind your decision, be the tough guy you make out you are. Be strong.

If you didn’t alert it then just stand up and say so. Both of these outcomes have some principle.

Or...if you want to run away and hide behind this little charade, that’s fine, it’s your call, it’s your reputation and up until this point you at least had some credibility for being truthful.

Since Box 39 is community radio and therefore, non-profit, it isn’t advertising; it’s promotion. There’s a difference. Whoever alerted the thread does not understand what that means, apparently.

Everybody here promotes themselves, either for their creativity or their inanity. It occurs in obscure ways; by adding an avatar, participating in a forum, or playing a game of ches ...[text shortened]... s and subsequent removal of threads without investigation are ineffective moderating, in my opinion.

Agree on most of that hakima, only that personally I thumb up in agreement of a statement/post (🤷‍♂️can't arsed) what's the point in scrolling through mindless pap to get to the//a point.
