@relentless-red saidDo you think a certain Liverpool fan said he'd buy him a pint if he went on air saying it wasn't a red? 😅
If reputable pundits hold conflicting views then it isn't clear and obvious and VAR is right not to change it. Gary Neville is no Liverpool fan.

@relentless-red saidI assume you are choosing to not comment on Jordan Henderson's MOTD interview?

Let's be honest, it was totally ridiculous
And, just to finally add, I wasn't aware of the 'rule' that if some pundit, of dubious competence or not, from ANY media outlet casts doubt on the overwhelming video evidence, that makes it not 'clear and obvious '
In fact, I am unaware of any ruling including 'pundits' in the VAR system.
Maybe you could enlighten me

VAR was supposed to be brought in to clear up the obvious undebatable errors of which this was not.

@Blood-On-The-Tracks
What Trev said (obviously).
Jordan Henderson has played the game at the highest level and won the major trophies. Probably more entitled to a view about the physical challenges that go on than you or I.

@Relentless-Red
I think you could argue the same for Alan Shearer, who thought it was a blatant red.
So, you think Henderson's argument that it wasn't even a yellow is valid? Not at all influenced by the fact that it was his team mate, of course.
This 'argument' that you need just one pundit in 50 to disagree is interesting.
@blood-on-the-tracks saidYou’re wasting your time, he’s one of these football cultist type of fans. The Liverpool equivalent of a Jehovah’s Witness.

@trev33 saidIt was obviously a red card I feel. Situations like this even make me wonder if there is corruption at club level in the EPL.

@relentless-red saidSo on the one hand you hold up Gary Neville as a reputable pundit, but on the other hand he played for Man Utd (and so by default, not your team of morally orientated wondermen] so he’s obviously lying?

@divegeester saidGary Neville, like Jordan Henderson, has won major trophies at the highest level. Not so much Jermaine Jenas and Alan Shearer.

@relentless-red saidOh right, so you have to “win trophies” now in order to have good judgment. I see.
Gary Neville, like Jordan Henderson, has won major trophies at the highest level. Not so much Jermaine Jenas and Alan Shearer.
@mercury saidHe's a guy who's watched actual football matches on a regular basis for over 45 years. Maybe try the 'Spirituality Forum' if you like condescending comments about cultists.
You’re wasting your time, he’s one of these football cultist type of fans. The Liverpool equivalent of a Jehovah’s Witness.
If you truly believe it's down to corruption what is your basis for believing Liverpool can out bid City and Chelsea's owners. 🤔
@blood-on-the-tracks saidThe argument that if you add Jermaine Jenas to Alan Shearer you get 50 is just plain wrong.
@Relentless-Red
This 'argument' that you need just one pundit in 50 to disagree is interesting.
@relentless-red saidSurely most football fans have watched football matches for the equivalent % time span of their lives.
He's a guy who's watched actual football matches on a regular basis for over 45 years.
Clearly you are, as usual, just appealing to your own authority.

@relentless-red saidI was putting forward a hypothetical situation. By your argument here, one 'dissenting ' pundit amongst any number makes VAR wrong to change it. Apparently.
If reputable pundits hold conflicting views then it isn't clear and obvious and VAR is right not to change it.
As for your argument that Henderson's opinion carried more weight than Shearer's because he has won more, I assume you threw it in to be provocative. It is ludicrous.
By the way, do YOU believe it wasn't even a yellow card, as opined by your learned midfielder?
