beef version is cottage pie (almost as good)
and you dont like Black Pudding (blood sausage)? why not? its lovely - that has got to be one of my favourite foods (that and bacon butties)
The black pudding was a bit too strong for my tastes. It was different having beans for breakfast. I liked them, I was just more accustomed to eating them in the afternoon or evening. I have also never been fond of tomatoes and that was a breakfast staple as well, which I avoided too. We did enjoy the fresh scones at breakfast time.

I usually do the Canadian version, which means going to Swiss Chalet (aka "Dirty Bird" ) and drowning the fries in Chalet sauce before slathering them on the free roll. But when I was in Scotland, I had 'em with salt & vinegar and sometimes a spot 'o cheese.

Haggis was my favourite meal in Scotland, barring my friends' Aunt Trish's home-cookin' of course. We hit the chippies up something fierce. Too many and you'll end up with a chip butt-y of your own, but they were tasty. The pekoras were amazing too. They seems to occupy the same soft spot in my heart that a nice 6 pack of McNuggets at 2:00am does, but with ...[text shortened]... e. Didn't get to try the deep-fried everything else though. Any recommendations/warnings?
oh yeah and battered jam (jelly for the americans) sandwiches too
its all very fattening but bloody tasty too lol

Ah, funnel cake! I had that on the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA. I mostly remember it because of the funn(el)y name, although I think it was tasty, too.

I found this stuff in Erie, PA during "Rib Fest," they just call it "fried dough." PA is weird.

Originally posted by shortcircuitNo. Salad is intrinsically contrary to the idea of PA Greek food. The "sauce" is actually butt loads of mince (ground beef) with a secret blend of herbs, spices, and fats. So it's a hot dog drowned in beef, a burger with extra beef, chips with beef and cheese... You get the idea.
do they offer Greek salads there?
